Hi Sambhavana your Sambhar looks nice but can b eaten as a variety of dal. Firstly Sambhar and tamarind pulp goes hand in hand. Secondly ginger and green chilli is never added. Whole jira is not added in Sambhar

Frankly speaking this is not the way authentic Sambar prepared this is only sambhavna can make Punjabi up touch
😅simple authentic method:
Boil all the veggies with curry leaves and green chilly.
Cook half a cup of arhar / toor dal.
Add salt to the veggies , tomato, cooked dal, and tamarind paste, sambar masala powder, haldi powder.
Boil well.
Lastly give a tadka of ghee, curry leaves, mustard , hing,red chilly. Done. Dal gives thickness to the curry. Chopped coriander leaves is optional. Don't add ginger.

We don't use Jeera in Sambhar.. Mustard seeds should be used..

Try adding imli water to this Sambar. It will be even more flavourful and closer to authentic. It's just a suggestion

Mam as a tamilian i would give you one suggestion add imili water it is the right way to make sambar and you wont need any thadka because we never do it .. so try like this once you might like it more just a suggestion other wise its too yummy and looks mouth watering to see
Fir se suggestion why you people just can't watch her recipe instead of giving your recipe no one is interested and fir your kind information tamarind is not suggested in arthritis patients so I also use amchur powder and tomato instead so please stop giving your suggestions keep it to you she knows cooking let her tell the recipe in her own way
Wrong method of preparing Sambhar, we don't add chilli ginger paste, also don't make tomato puree and without tamarind Sambhar is incomplete.

this sambar also tastes nice but you should try the authentic recipe which is more easy to make
add oil ,mustard seeds , jeera , crushed garlic, hing, curry leaves, and then chopped tomatoes, add littel bit water and let tomatoes cook meanwhile you can add spices which includes haldi, red chilly powder, gud, garam masala and once the tomatoes are soft you can add cooked dal and cook it for some time and then add water according to the thickness you want your samabr to be then cook it until water comes to a boil ...... you should give it a try it tastes amazing im from karnataka so this is the authentic recipe so please give it a try you will love it

today u use Everest sambar powder, which is good because in Everest sambar powder they don't put onion garlic... good... Keep it up... This is the real dish which is without onion & garlic.... Nice... 10/10
Disclaimer was there it is not vrat wala Khana they are just recipes made during Ganapathi and are without onion garlic . How can people get confused🤔

You keep brinjal in water before cooking to keep them fresh. Because it becomes black if you keep them too long after cutting them. In bengali we say beguner kosh beriye jaye.

New method of preparing sambar I will try this. Brinjal will get oxidised n turn brown so we keep it in water sir. Aap log actors hai phir bhi ye saab kar rahe hai thats bohut jyada.

It will be tasty for sure.Anywaz we don’t add garlic to sambhar. Plz don’t spoil the authentic sambar recipe. No need to add onion but yet u can make in the traditional way that’s why sambhar is sambhar. And u have to add imli water and little sugar or jaggery if u want otherwise it won’t be sambhar.
Everyone has different methods of cooking. Sambhavna has shared her method.Choice is individual.

Ye othentic sambar nahi hai sambhavana unke apane tarike se banati hai . Don't criticised. Jinko achha lage wo banaye sabka apana apna tarika hota hai.
