that CIWS was mainly suppose to withstand 4,500 rounds/minute and not in slight bursts, those few hits at the start would've shredded that plane apart lol
I've seen much smaller, faster targets so easily nailed by Phalanx in an instant. So I realized that this had to be a simulation. A 45 second burst like this would also create a molten mess of the barrels. Very cool tho'. I really like it.
There is no way a slow moving craft like that would say within it effective range. And those defensive systems are not a single fire system and can fill up large volumes of the sky.

in reality it will be not a stratetic Bomber .. it will be a AC-130 and it will not only shoot the Groud Targets ..it will hit it ... and that way before it gets in range of the CIWS ..
Dropping chaff and flares, while being shot at by AA guns, makes absolutely NO sense, since the bullets themselves are not actively seeking the target, and can therefore not be "distracted" by the chaff and flares!! Plus, dropping flares in the dark, exposes your position even further. Just a tip. ;D

However, because it's so advanced it likely has other measures or will only temporarily cause inaccuracy, and the argument that flares in the dark exposing you is irrelevant because computers can see in the dark anyway

Thank god this is just a game, or else some soldiers would have some 'splaining to do. Also, dang that was one tough bird. It took a lot of hits before it finally when down.

ガンシップならだいぶ装甲厚くしてるとは思いますが20mmなんで当たり所悪かったら下手したら1発で落ちたりするんですかね〜
日本語では「近接防御火器システム」と呼ばれるぐらいなので、対空ミサイルによる遠距離迎撃に失敗し、接近された場合の対空兵器ですね。
対ミサイルならあり得る光景ですが、航空機にこれほど肉薄されるケースは現実には無いのでは？
