you can tell Jon B genuinely just loves to fish. 🎣 He’s been fishing since he’s a child and just never stopped and you can sense it in his love for the sport.
You should do a PB recap video! I’d love to see what your PB is up to this point in a few species like LMB, smallie, Striper, a few species of trout and maybe like a peacock or arapaima. It also would be cool for you to go back and watch in 10 years and remake it
That and kayak fishing is what I have on my channel definitely nothing like the goat Jon B, nonetheless you are more than welcome to take a look, brotha.
What’s up Jon! I was born and raised in San Marcos and Ive spent so many years swimming, tubing, and fishing that river. It makes me happy seeing people have a great first experience at that river. Been a sub for many years! Keep up the great vids 👍🏼
Go Bobcats! Next time you hit the San Marcos I'd suggest doing so by kayak. Id also suggest exploring the San Marcos a bit further from the headwaters. Some absolute tanks live out there.
Next time you're in CenTex, you gotta fish the Colorado River east of Austin. Not the easiest access most of the time, but go to either Big or Little Webberville Park. That river has some of the best bass fishing I've ever experienced, and we have even caught hybrid stripers in there
You should’ve went and fished the San Marcos river in martindale where it’s more rural. It’s even more beautiful looks like a mountain stream in Colorado
Man… what a crazy year it’s been so far. Family’s health, my wife’s dad not doing good and also my wife’s sister’s husband passing away.. if it wasn’t for fishing content like this ( because Maryland weather won’t let me fish yet ) I don’t know what I’d do when I have a chance to take a breath and “relax”. Thank you @jonB for content like this.
Incredible dude. I love all your mini series like this. It's crazy to me that networks haven't reached out to you for a show. Keep on keeping on fellas. ✌️❤😊
Jon B i have been watching you for about five years now. I am coming down to Arlington from the Midwest in April. I have a RUclips channel inspired by you and i was wondering if we could meet up or possible go fishing the first week of April some time. Thank you for your great videos day in and day out
Dude San Marcos River is incredible. I loved fishing those waters. Lived there for sometime and went everywhere. Where you start the video is a few meters down from a natural spring. The water is always 72 degrees I believe. There are plenty of areas to explore! Def worth another visit!
1,0000/10 video. Crazy to see how far your channel has come. I remember watching videos when you would clown Peric for having that gf when he was at bama…. Congrats on the evolution of your skills and channel. Well deserved
Your videos have greatly improved! Holy smokes bro! Great job! Oh and I live in McHenry county Illinois. I believe it’s not to far from where you’re from! Tight lines brother!
I know I've said it before, but watching you fish makes me miss being back in Michigan. Fishing in Alberta is alright, but nothing like there, lol. So thanks, Jon, for taking me back home, kind of lol
Try out canyon lake, close by but its better with a boat. Or landa park in new Braunfels, right next to san marcos. From the area🤙🏼went fishing today in NB, caught a lmb, catfish and longnose gar😨using minnows tho🥲
Growing up in Leander, TX, we spent a lot of our summers going to Aquarena Springs in San Marcos. From the glass bottom boats were you could see the bottom like you were diving. From the swimming pig show and the mermaids show in the underwater theater. It always brings back great memories. I was sad when they shut it down in 1996.
Man you hit all my classic spots!!! It would of been so sick to run into you out there. Regardless, tight lines and thanks for showing everyone our special fishery down here!
i was there like 3 days ago but hit New Braunfels it’s 15 mins away an it has a park named landa park has 1-12 lb bass with the clearest water an it stays 72 year around
we have rock bass in west virginia and idk why but they get big and i mean big, at my local lake they get so big they challenge the smallmouth for food
you can tell Jon B genuinely just loves to fish. 🎣
He’s been fishing since he’s a child and just never stopped and you can sense it in his love for the sport.
he got the classic outro of any outdoor channel. KFNS, love it!
The passion he has for fishing is still the same he had as a kid and never changed. That's the greatest thing about it

I think his PB largemouth is 14 lbs!!!
Walking the bank fishing video's are tenfold better than fishing from the boat in my opinion. We need more of it!
That and kayak fishing is what I have on my channel definitely nothing like the goat Jon B, nonetheless you are more than welcome to take a look, brotha.
I agree ☝️. Some of us dont have a boat 😆
Just not fun watching FFS fishing

Incredible dude. I love all your mini series like this. It's crazy to me that networks haven't reached out to you for a show. Keep on keeping on fellas. ✌️❤😊

Nice video. The entire TN river watershed, which spans several southern states, is full of rock bass.

Super cool perspective of a place I would spend many hours at while skipping all my college classes 😂
Try out canyon lake, close by but its better with a boat. Or landa park in new Braunfels, right next to san marcos.

Check out Lake Dunlap, and Canyons lake.
San Marcus is tough fishing
I catch rock bass at medina river all the time in San Antonio area and im not far from san marcos so i think they are native.
Dude Rockies are suuuuuper good eating and as you know up north they’re all over and are actually really aggressive.
1:33 Love to see the bait in the video. Would love to make you a custom one. Whatever u want let me know.
If you go to Dunlap do not go to I35 bridge, go to Schumanns Beach rd boat ramp, also hudge trout below Canyon lake dam on the Guadalupe river,
