Good sleep is so much more important than a perfect workout routine! You’re doing great ❤ also studies show that late afternoon / early evening is the best time for workouts based on energy etc!
I’ve heard that in every stage of life you desire to be good at 5 things (sleeping, working out, eating healthy, job, marriage, etc.) but realistically we can only be good at 3 things at a time… maybe that’s not true but I feel like it speaks to your season! Altering your expectations for yourself and giving yourself grace can help when you can’t achieve all 5 things at one given time ♥️♥️
Jaci!!! I don't think i've worked with that type of clay you used, but back when I was in ceramics classes, if a piece broke off in the drying process, I was always told to save it and let it fully dry along with the piece it's supposed to be attached to. Once it's fully dry, you should be able to glue it back together and then paint it! it's okay if it's not perfect, it'll just look more organic and cozy in your home haha 🤍
This was so calming to watch. Due date is in 2 days, you’re making motherhood look amazing I feel like you go with your gut and don’t overthink things.
My meal prepping tip I live by and makes the mental load of making food for my family decrease by like a million is to 1 buy meat on sale and vacuum seal them by proportions that make sense for my family size and freeze them, then you always have the main part of your meal at home ready to be thawed when you need it. Then 2 I made a recipe book where every meal I know how to make is listed under each category of meat that it takes to make it so if we have frozen chicken we need to eat, I’ll flip to the chicken section of my book and see a list of every meal I know how to make using chicken and pick something that sounds good. Then 3 every Thursday my husband and I sit down and talk through our plans for the week and make a grocery list on my notes app listing out each day and what we plan on eating when. Say we have a busy Tuesday planned, I will literally plan to go out to eat that day or have leftovers from a previous meal and don’t try to eat out unless we have it planned for our week ahead of time. Then I do a pick up order on Friday mornings and I only buy food we need to make those meals so it keeps me accountable on making what we have planned. I personally feel overwhelmed by making a bunch of food on one day so I’ve just gotten a routine of knowing I’ll probably cook a meal once a day or every other day with left overs. Lastly, a blackstone has been a game changer for us, cooks food quickly, it’s easy to clean and prevent a messy kitchen and it gives my husband an opportunity to make food so that it doesn’t all fall on me.
Just a little tip if you don’t already, to keep your washer door open when you’re not using it! Front loaders can easily mold in the seal if you keep them shut. It’s not as cute looking but saves you in the long run lol
Yes!!! Came here to say this, too. Recently we were at an Airbnb with the front loader, and there was mold, caked all around the rim. I sent a picture to the Airbnb host and they said that it was just discoloring and I said no honey I know mold when I see it but I’ll throw your towels in anyway I guess. My mom has had those front loader washers and definitely the tip is to keep them open until they’re fully dry.
Ahh Jaci!! I love this so much and you are such an inspiration to me. Thank you for being such a light and I love everything you do. You are so fun to watch and I’ve been loving the podcast recently and watching it on here. Thank you for sharing your day to day life and I love when you put out new content. Ilysm and I hope you’re having an amazing day 💕
Also I’m not a mom but getting a walking pad has completely changed my life! I can easily walk 3+ hours per day while working or doing computer stuff and if I don’t have time to workout I still feel so active. Its the best
RE - how to establish a workout routine. Start small. Pick two or three days you can commit to a workout class. Same days , same time. Make it part of your weekly routine! That way you can still enjoy sleeping in on the other days.
To keep a healthy lifestyle... I try to go to bed around 10 pm every night, and then twice a week I go to a 5:15am workout class. Then on the days I am not working out, it feels like I am "sleeping in". I would like to workout more often but even the twice a week schedule has made me feel so fulfilled :)
time-blocking has been an absolute game changer for me. especially with school, it makes me see how much free time I actually have and how much time I want to dedicate to certain tasks. you could try doing it with work and then seeing how much time you have leftover to workout! also remembering that working out doesn’t have to be this big thing, it could be as simple as just going on a walk 💗
Okay my tip for working out with a super tight schedule which I’m not a mom, so I’m probably not as exhausted as you, but still have a super busy schedule- is rolling out your yoga mat literally in your living room or bedroom and pulling up a 15-20 minute mat pilates class. Getting ready for an hour long workout class can seem so daunting and gives me anxiety sometimes. Often I feel better after a short class at home because I wasn’t worried about anyone else and knew that as soon as I was done I could go on to my next task! Also start with every other day or every 2 days. Know that anything is better than nothing! Xo
I’m at the end of the vlog now and I just wanted to say, I have a 3 and a half year old and a 6 month old and it is so hard to make time to work out. And I’m a stay at home mom so I thought it would be a lot easier. When my first was about 1 is when I really started to get into my groove and I could fit it into my schedule better. Give yourself grace!
Girl, I'm not a mommy just a wifey and just don't have the motivation in this season to do more than what I used to before marriage. Strong believer that live life and enjoy each season as they come. They all won't look the same but still worth living.
Totally feel you on the motivation🫶🏽 you got this! I’m a Virgo so I am psycho BUT I think what could help you is a monthly like vibe check (words/goals) of the energy you want to channel for the month but make it realistic! My notes app has those monthly goals, also one note called “This week” and then I break that note up by each day of the week and those daily “to do’s”. It compartmentalizes my tasks and makes them feel less overwhelming. I hope this helps! Xx
Certified Behavior Change Specialist & Personal Trainer👋🏼… the most major factor is making things/goals (ie fitness routine) as small/doable as possible… example start with literally a 10 minute workout, do that for 2 weeks to a month, whatever you need to do, then slowlyyyyy increase it over time. Another example (flossing your teeth) literally start by flossing ONE tooth and celebrate the shit out of doing it! This removes the resistance because the goal is so small aka more doable in the mind & builds positive associations. The goal is to just start building the habit once it’s a habit we don’t have to think about doing it it’s just part of our routine. You’re doing A LOT already so give yourself grace and start small. Hope this helps🫶🏼
You can have both good sleep and a healthy workout routine!! If you are a night owl maybe consider taking afternoon/ evening classes and make it a routine to come home and cook right after!!! Also, a tip is always having groceries and go to meals to cook so you don’t feel overwhelmed 🤎 hope this helps! Just push yourself a little and you’ll notice so much of a difference!!
I’ve been doing Move with Nicole’s pilates videos on RUclips when I don’t feel like working out! Sometimes going to the gym or a class is just one extra step and I want a quick low-impact workout that will make me feel good :)
Schedule your workouts for the week! Arrange with Leif when he can be with Benny on a consistent basis to schedule a few Pilates class per week. Have accountability by asking your friends to join you at the classes. Go on daily walks! Pack a gym bag to have in the car for when you can randomly fit a class or a workout in. It’s an appointment that’s crucial for your mental and physical health. I personally work a full time/in office job and I make it a point to pack a gym bag and go directly to the gym from the office a few times a week so I make sure I’m getting a few lifts done and then I’ll get in a lunch time walk and schedule other classes when I can!
Your vids are my reset after busy, stressful workdays - so calming and great way to ease into the evenings! 💗 random, but I've been hunting for this striped sweater since you wore it during a WWS podcast a few weeks/months(?) ago. Would love a link if it's not thrifted 🫶🏼
My advice with getting back to health and fitness would be to start small! Just a 10, 15 minute exercise video at first and then once you’re used to finding the time in the day for that you can start incorporating longer workouts in.
Okay the merit look is STUNNING!! Also mom of a baby who literally hasn’t slept through the night since December… caffeine lots of caffeine. That’s how I do it! Haha honestly I feel like such a better mom when I just suck it up and do it.
So random but the toilet that you have in the at guest bathroom is so sleek and nice. I’m def here for all the house content down to all the details. Cannot get enough.
I do “chores” (so anything that needs to get done or should be done including workouts) during the week and then no “rules” during the weekend! No rules basically means I don’t keep to a schedule or plan and allow myself some flexibility. Also switching to night workouts accepting the fact I just don’t thrive in the morning 😂 I miss fewer days and exhausted by the time my head hits the pillow!❤
Mom of 2 babies here. Unfortunately, something has to go and for me that's sleep. I just had a baby in August (c-section) and I have a 2 1/2 year old as well. I am also a teacher and recently went back to work about 2 weeks ago. I'm trying to figure out how to balance and juggle everything I have going on. I will say I definitely try to leave my work at work, which I know is probably weird for you since you probably mainly work from home, but maybe try to schedule in parts of your day dedicated to work. In the last 2-3 weeks, I started focusing on my fitness journey and for me that's dedicating 30 minutes to myself at least 3 times a week because that's all I have time for. Again, unfortunately, I am sacrificing sleep and going to bed after midnight, but I have been committed to 3x a week and tracking what I eat. It's exhausting and so much fun parenting, but unfortunately you can't do it all. Some days on the weekend when I'm watching the kids all day, a win for me is getting to shower or clean the house. Best of luck! Love your vlogs!
My husband and I work opposite schedules, him during the week and myself overnights on the weekend. I can only work out twice per week but I just force myself because I know my options are so limited. I had to find a fun with childcare and have kids be old enough to help comfortable with that. I never regret a workout but it’s often hard to convince myself!
Gorilla glue can fix the tray! I broke the handle on a mug once and glued it back on. I'm still using it multiple years later, dishwasher and everything
for me taking it week by week works best! some weeks i get to work out 5 times a week and other weeks i only get 1-2 workouts in and i just let that be how it is!!
I have been wanting to be in my health and wellness era for the past two years… I was pregnant and now my baby is one and I still am not in it. It is so hard to give up my sleep to workout when I know I truly need as much as I can get.
girlie can you please share what video effect/settings are at 12:32 (like the old video cam look)?? I've been seeing it everywhere and can't figure it out! Been following you since like 2016 and I've always loved how aesthetic you make everything!!
Jaci, you so could’ve saved that little tray😂 I think a cute little paint design would really make it and you could just glue the little scallops back on (or use clay?)
I’m a first time mom and my son just turned 2 - I’m in the same spot and have been dreaming of getting back into a health routine but I can’t get out of survival mode 😅
I think everyone’s “ready” after a baby is different. I think starting slow and just doing stretching videos or slower workouts to ease your body into it.

Hi Jaci! I think the biggest piece of advice for a healthy lifestyle is just trying to start even if it’s not up to your standard. Like not a 0 or 100 mindset, but more of a hey it’s not a workout class but I did a free workout on my tv for 15 minutes and that’s better than nothing. And then building upon that 🤍
Your intros are always such a vibe. Benny has the coolest mom ✨
So true❤❤❤

Your way of editing never gets old!!! ❤
benny is so lucky to have you jaci 💕
love the vibe and the aesthetic of the vlogs in the past year🌵🤍
idea for the broken tray: 💔
file the broken edge to a smooth flat line and then use it as a spoon rest in the kitchen
Jaci!!! Use the clay tray as a utensil holder in your kitchen!
From Alberta, Canada and the sun has been setting at 4pm. I go to work and it’s dark and come home and it’s dark :(

It would be easy to add an outlet beside the washer/dryer!
Could you link the Airbnb? So stunning!!
Honestly when you said you can't give her the crinkly book on the plane cause its too loud...we love a self aware queen
Jaci is your kitchen floor difficult to sweep and mop??? I literally can’t think of anything else when I see you in the kitchen 😵💫😂
Kendall has the original artist's light installation in her home lol
This was the perfect vlog to watch on a Sunday afternoon, the vibes are always just right with your videos 🥹🩷

Can you link the laundry hampers in your Amazon store front? :)
isnt there an outlet behind the washer/dryer? could you get an extension cord and a power strip so you can plug in the dyson?
love your videos so much
Girl you’re setting off my Alexa and hey siri (podcast) in the same week 🥵
HAHAHA sorry queen
Hear me out, curtain bangs would look amazing on you!
Add an outlet!
Make the tray a spoon rest!!!!
link for the airbnb??
can you link the airbnb
consistency over intensity! take it slow but try to do something everyday, even if it’s just for 20 minutes.
I'm so sorry but I cackled when you said your concealer shade is literally called BONE?!
fun fact: another commonly wrong phrase is "daylight savingS" when it's actually daylight saving time!
yayyy!!
looove
