I've loved the Queens since songs for the deaf album, and this song just takes you to another level when you're listening to it, I won't have it on when I'm driving cause I'm too distracted
Dear Layne, Hearing this song makes me think of you. It's hard to believe you've been gone over three years (and it doesn't seem right to hear that AIC is still around without you). I know your addiction fueled your creativity and gave your songs a special power, but I wish you hadn't taken that road into the hollow, and alone at that. My hope is that you are far beyond the darkness in a place of peace and rest. Sincerely, Your fan Tom
haha i remember i use to play gears of wars until the wee hours of the morning listening to nothing but queens of the stoneage.. I remember this song in particular.. just a random memory :)
A hollow can also be part of a landscape: there are hollows and valleys... hollows have lots of hills and trees, think ichabod crane and sleepy hollow.
I fell in love with a girl while I listened to this song... I dunno if it's gonna work out with the her but I hope that my opinion of this song won't change... it's just soo beautifull. especially the acoustic version...
@purpleloid Thats when it messes with your head the most too. Puts you in a type of trance. Its way sick. Pretty much all QOTSA songs really (The ones where they go for the lullabies to paralyze, etc)
@danblaze83 Amen to that, it's just sad. If you don't know how to raise a kid then get yourself fixed. I feel so sorry for some of the children these days who are so neglected.
So what was your reason for asking? I did like Strange Mercy but didn't care for the album after that - if she has done anything more recent I don't know it.
+Brian Junker to me Go With The Flow is still the invictus winner, Fairweather Friends is prob my favorite from Like Clockwork... I Appear Missing is pretty damn good too tho
Underrated song!!!
+Vladimir Putin hey Vialt you know where it's @ grab a Leg of Lamb enjoy1
Underrated comment !!!

@@mynameismattfirered9276 Still listening.
I can relate to Josh's lyrics on so many levels. It's good to know there are other dark but good souls fighting out in the world.
Just saw that this video is 15 years old. Song's still a banger. Thank you for the lyrics!
This is a little masterpiece ... chills every single time...musically and lyrically...gorgeous song
I swear to god, when those sad, piercing guitars crescendo up at the end, howling through the finale, my soul sings. Every time.
This has been my favorite song from the moment I heard it. It still is.
i love you
+Amelia Bee Same. For me, it's something about the guitar tones and rhythm in this song that just cracks my soul open.
+Chris Tsekouras Right? It haunts you in all the right ways.
great song writing is rare now, I love that QOTSA keep it going with really good writing
I used to watch this video since 2007 and it was my fave song at that time... actually,it still is

This album helped me get through one of the worst breakups of my life. Ten years later and the pain of loss and now I can appreciate it even more.
Looove this song, this one & Suture up your future are 2 of my all time qotsa favs
Listened to this song many times on repeat, something about Josh and qotsa make us revisit their albums again and again.
This is musical crack. So addictive.

Miss Layne very badly , the world is horrible. Lets go to the hollow where there is no light and no reason and no consequences
the vocals at the end are magic
How the hell could you dislike this? Only answer, born without ears.
Marcus Harris I’m sure even the vibrations are magical.
Well, if the good thing is, they did, in fact, make songs for the deaf because of Marcus’s suggestion 😜
haha
i remember i use to play gears of wars until the wee hours of the morning listening to nothing but queens of the stoneage.. I remember this song in particular..
just a random memory :)

Heard this while I was tripping on acid. It was amazing.
you would probably like the spice girls if you really listened while on acid.
We listened to tons of songs. But this one really stood out.
2:25 - 2:45 best part
A hollow can also be part of a landscape: there are hollows and valleys... hollows have lots of hills and trees, think ichabod crane and sleepy hollow.
Thank you 😊
Dude, I don't know where Hollow lives so how can I go into him?
The last definition seems the most fitting to the song; going into the emptiness.
really nice themed lyrics, GJ!
Perfect Halloween music.
I just love this song...
I want it in my funeral ;)
I like the way Josh has been influenced by The Doors!!
Where did you get that font? And lovely idea for all Queens songs, I love their lyrics.

Underrated band...lots of good stuff...of course this included.

Nice video/text design solution, simple, but holding on to the style.
you're right, Josh writes the music but he needs these awesome musicians to make it happen

@angelusjf I'm sick of all the shitty comments referring to the like/dislike bar. Nobody cares.
♥
Seems like i am still too wrong to get right:C she didnt come into the hollow u.u
I love QOTSA but i actually think the acoustic version is better....maybe because its softer..more emotion? IDK..
What is the hollow?
Excuse me sir Musicdontsuck, could you please post the lyrics in the description?
0:50 - 1:12 is like climaxing and then afterglow following.
@yovioleatuzorramadre better than songs for the deaf
Does anyone on here listen to St.Vincent?I have a reason for asking..I promise
Joey Pierce I do!
So what was your reason for asking? I did like Strange Mercy but didn't care for the album after that - if she has done anything more recent I don't know it.
what the font?
