Uncovering the Rifts in Echoes of Wisdom

The rifts in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom are currently a complete mystery. The way I see it, Zelda will either be able to travel in them freely in the overworld; or she may have to avoid them, only able to traverse through them at certain parts of the game.

Very interesting theories I do wonder if we have to avoid the rifts for a bit in the game then once we get some sort of item we can traverse the rifts and restore them back to normal

I think that's very possible. Having them be a threat through most of the game and then finally getting the ability to go inside and destroy them.
