Crazy how before the show was announced, people had wanted other studios like Madhouse or MAPPA to animate TYBW. That’s how much people didn’t trust Pierrot, and I’m glad to know that they kept the show.
Thing is the team is way different than the og anime. They respect the source material more and work with the author side by side. That's the difference.

What a gorgeous battle, Ichigo has become so strong to resist an non Almighty state Yhwach, something he could't do in their first battle in Soul Society. I'm so glad also Getsuga Jujisho is being used more than in the manga.
The fact all the moves that Yhwach used against Ichigo in the first match was effortlessly shrugged off by him shows Yhwach would be stomped without the Almighty

It’s more impressive when this is the real Ywhach’s Zwinger technique compared to the nerfed version that Royd used on Yama. The GJ obliterating it in one hit shows that Ichigo would’ve washed Ywhach here if not for Almighty.

The character development in that is on point but in black it's mediocre. I like the story and it's entertaining but bleach is certainly not a master peice. Nor is dragon ball z and most other shows similar to this. I mean the rings of power is better than this and thb I'd even go to say that made Web had better character development. Look at spiderman into the spiderverse. That film is on point compared to bleach. Don't tell me they are incomparable because they are not.... all story's operate on the same base foundation. Ichigos character never evolves other than his powers, rukia is always the same so is rengi the only character I think that has any real development is probably yuhaback lol and ichygos dad. Ichigo basically wins everyone except the Almighty. One can argue Askin caught Ichigo unawares in the manga but I think theyll take that out of the anime cuz it made no sense someone of his caliber falling to Askin even if it was a sneak attack.

Amazing episode! I love that Ichigo is getting more to do this arc. I felt in the original manga that he got overshadowed by a lot of the side characters. I love those fights, but it's great seeing Ichigo get his shine.

I used to dislike Pierrot for what have they done to Black Clover and Tokyo Ghoul. But I guess what they action that are happening now with Bleach can be overlooked because the storytelling, pacing and animation has improved. But I am not one of those fans that watch shows for animation. I care about substance.

It's a big step up from what Bleach was before. I can't imagine the old Bleach anime with this level of animation, effects, and direction. Maybe he can even compete with One Piece or maybe on the same level, I can't say for sure. But Studio Pierrot cooked here!

Do you guys understand what Ichigo did here? He obliterated the Ultimate Quincy Tec, that Yamamoto used bankai against, using only his shikai and also did some damage to YHWACH. If it wasn't for the Almighty, the Quincy Father wouldn't stand a chance against our digimon
So basically at this point Ichigo is confirmed around Bankai Yamamoto level in his True Shikai form Being that Bankai Yamamoto fought a Base Yhwach at 70% (the clone guy) & True Shikai Ichigo fought Base Yhwach at 100% and both dealt with him relatively easily albeit Ichigo even more so Edit: Then again, I’d mostly say in terms of the raw power expressed from their Zanpakuto in these respective forms because Yamamoto is definetely still more wise in battle, having access to way more techniques like his mastery of Kido aswell as his mastery of hand to hand combat
I realize that Ichigo just loves to spin slash now. Like before the diengaging from Yhwach before the Jujishou he spun around, he has done spin slashes several times in the subsequent Uryu fight as well.

2 eps in and cour 3 has already been amazing. This has been a fantastic adaptation, what a way to elevate the source material!

Its crazy to think true shikai ichigo is already stronger than yama and all the gotei 13. Imagine how strong he will be at yamas age lol.
So basically at this point Ichigo is confirmed around Bankai Yamamoto level in his True Shikai form
Being that Bankai Yamamoto fought a Base Yhwach at 70% (the clone guy) & True Shikai Ichigo fought Base Yhwach at 100% and both dealt with him relatively easily albeit Ichigo even more so
Edit: Then again, I’d mostly say in terms of the raw power expressed from their Zanpakuto in these respective forms because Yamamoto is definetely still more wise in battle, having access to way more techniques like his mastery of Kido aswell as his mastery of hand to hand combat

I realize that Ichigo just loves to spin slash now. Like before the diengaging from Yhwach before the Jujishou he spun around, he has done spin slashes several times in the subsequent Uryu fight as well.

Although Ichigo was no match for Yhwach full strength, it’s still cool he stood a chance against him in base without Yhwach using his eyes

I like how Ywach decides to outxlass/beat Ichigo through sheer strength and power before deciding to use his haxes to defeat him.
I love the fact that Ichigo was straight dog walking Yhwach, like you can see that he was starting to panic at points. He would've lost hard if it wasn't for the almighty
the craziest part of this whole thing is that this isnt even anywhere near peak bleach or whats to come lol! this is literally like the ultimate teaser
I love how they allowed Ichigo to display his new strength, with only his shikai Ichigo is now way too strong for normal Ywhach thus forcing him to activate Almighty.
