Some of the attacks of pals aren't properly made for dodging, some have too lasting hitboxes, others go way too fast or pals don't have enough telegraph for you to react; plus the dodge is not reliable enough (to do like a no hit run for example), with that split second you have to wait between rolls, and that annoying bug where you get stuck if you roll into pillars. It's a thing I wish they would focus on, make the game more skill base instead of number base (levels+equipment), but alas, being the type of game it is, they are going to prioritize adding content before making changes to the base gameplay. 12:03 Palworld has an artificial barrier where your damage is determined by the difference between your level and the target; if you tackle a boss with a lower level, you'll be doing less damage than you actually have, likewise, the more levels you have over something, the more damage you do, that's why you see exponentially big damage when you hit low level pals.
You've inspired me to try a no catch run. It changes the way you play, normally i do yhe same thing, gumoss for seeds, eikthyrdeer and boar for logging and mining etc. Never used tanzee or liffmonk.
The bosses are meant to be challenged around lvl 15, 30, 40, 45, 50, 55, and 60. Ofc, you can do it earlier with some care and skill. As for which pals to get, ofc Jormunties of both variants, Lyleens, Astegons, Orserks, and other r4/3 work suitability pals that you might need. I'd also look into breeding a flying and ground mount. And if you want to go full meta, make a Gobfin breeding farm and go full player damage.
With anubis, you can make nails, nails are sold for 20 gold. so mine lots of Ores with anubis, convert it to ingot, then to nails = lot of gold, buy egg from merchants.

Nah just default colours on the setting I don’t really mess with colours all that much I’m on the ps5 so idk if it’s something different
