    For me, the ideas in ruclips.net/user/postUgkxy_pn55PK60wAV3X_C_RoLS_67mNonoCE Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.

    Hey Guy..
    Thanks for these videos...
    I'm watching all the way from South Africa....
    love the concept of TImber framed housing...
    Conventionally, we use brick and mortar here..timber hasnt really latched on here, yet. I don't even think we have a spec, or code book for the local industry.
    I just finished watching each and every minute of your Season 1 and 2, wow, so insightful...
    Is it possible to do a walk through of one of the houses you have previously completed. i would love to see the end product, drywalling, paint, furniture etc...this will give us(your subscribers) a better feel for room size and concepts you used when framing.
    That will be a great add-on..
    Thanks once again. Keep it up...

    in the old days we had up and down roofs (high pitch), this was by design to allow snow and rain to run off. Hand saw rafters built on site by an experienced carpenter that lasted 100 years. Then Architects came along and turned a triangle into a complex polygon, gave it to an engineer who using high level math and computer graphical application turned it into a set of plans which they pass onto a carpenter who goes "WTF is this crap??!!!"

    • @UhOhUmm
      @UhOhUmm 4 года назад

      It's holding basically nothing weight wise and those hangers are strong enough to hold floors.

    • @paulholstein9448
      @paulholstein9448 4 года назад +2

      I'd still get the engineer to sign off on it. It's not exactly as they proscribed and there is simply no reason to not get them to sign off. Every case is different and these may be strong enough to hold floors, but these aren't floors. Floors are not usually subject to wind loads.

    I don't have much faith in a double 2x6 keeping a floor flat AND holding up a roof with snow... what's the span again?
    If there's gonna be a wall or doorframe sitting under it, triple up the nearest stud(s)?

    • @janderson8401
      @janderson8401 4 года назад +2

      It’s not a double 2 by 6, it’s a doubled truss with 2 by 6s for the bottom chords. Also there is no attic floor so the load is roof, ceiling, and snow.
