    Does the government really think $100 extra per kid is helping anyone? I heard it might go up to $3600 per child. That would actually make a difference.

      @@Keepitoriginalministry Sorry for the confusion. I didn't mean it was true, but it was rumored by many RUclips cpa's saying don't do your taxes yet because it might go up to $3600.

      @@mikegarcia5943 doesn't matter if you do it before the 29th bc the IRS isn't accepting until the 29th this year. I already filed my taxes last week. If the CTC goes up, it'll be added to my tax return.

    • @moneyinstructor
      @moneyinstructor  9 месяцев назад +5

      If the Child Tax Credit increases after you've filed your taxes, you might need to file an amended return using Form 1040-X to claim the additional benefit. However, in some cases, the IRS may adjust your return automatically to reflect the updated credit, depending on their policies and the specifics of the law change. It's important to stay informed about such changes and consult a tax professional if needed.

      100 dollar increase means per kid over top of what they give not 100 dollars per kid

    • @IdeaCollector
      @IdeaCollector 9 месяцев назад

      @@queenkasper4254 right. its $100 more for the entire year. $100 more than we previously had. Less than a happy meal per month. This amount of money is almost inconsequential to most people. This is the equivalent of getting a 5 cent per hour raise at 40 hrs/wk.
