We just installed this exact lock. The only thing that needs to be added is that there is a step where you place 3 batteries, press a reset button with a tool in the kit and insert the 4th battery while doing that. If you miss this step, the lock won’t work. Otherwise super helpful!

Any idea why after I insert the batteries it throws out the throw in the locked position, but then I cannot turn the knob manually to get it to stay in the unlocked position with the throw retracted
This was a great and helpful video but I'm having issues with the lock not coming out unless i manually use my key. When i try locking with just holding a button down like you say, you can hear it trying to lock but it won't come out. It's like it's stuck so i loosened the screws and it's still not coming out to lock. It's almost as if something inside is not catching to push it out. Any ideas what it could be? I'm just lost 😢
I know when our batteries were low, the deadbolt wouldn't extend. But when we changed batteries it worked. Also, does the deadbolt come out if the door is open? If it extends when the door is open, but not closed, maybe it's not aligned perfectly? I would start with fresh batteries, see if that makes a difference. Then maybe try to re-align it with the door frame. Other than that, i'm not sure. Maybe it is something inside. Maybe check the video at 1:20 and make sure that's all correct
We recently had the same problem. When we were installing ours, the key was inside. If this is your first install, make sure that everything is in unlocked position and no key inside while the installation.
It doesn't let you set a basic code such as 1234, 0000, etc... it must be a unique code that's the only thing you did "wrong". I. Watching just because I like supporting people that help others with things like this. Ive been an electrician since 2005 and i have installed bwsocally anything that needs power connected as well as wiring entire custom homes. I don't know why but I have a love and hate relationship woth electrical. Vehicle electrical being the bane of my existence. Good day ...
Not very smart door lock. It seems simple in 2023. I have high expectations for door lock like opening with phone or card connectivity without taking out your phone from your pocket. Like keyless car entry. And to add fingerprint and keypad for cases your phone is unavailable. Connecting it with wifi and unlocking with single tab from app or generating temporary access
Not quite understanding this gibberish you wrote but if you want those added feature, you'll have to spend more than $39 DOLLARS! There are $400 deadbolt locks that do all the things you want. Go lay out the cash and you'll be able to hook up your phone, wifi and network - plus if you treat it nice, it will give you a free reach around whenever you enter the master code. If you're a cheap bastard like me, you want an electronic lock that will work and be cheap. This is it.
😂 well, it depends on your needs and budget. BUT I don’t think the features that I have mentioned are hard to make or expensive. I found a lot but I’m having issue with the compatibility. Different dimensions that won’t fit on our door standards in Saudi Arabia. Can’t wait to get rid of all physical keys on the world! Haha and tell our grandsons that in the past you have to carry piece of metal to unlock doors

How do you change the mechanics orientation. I have left handle door and it’s only rotating for a left hand door.

Make sure the deadbolt isn't pinched. If there's pressure on it, the motor isn't strong enough to pull the deadbolt back.
Installed a high tech lock next to a glass window, it defeated the purpose.

Pushing the button for 2 sec does not lock. What am i doing wrong?
Not sure, it's always locked for me, just holding that top button in. That's what the instructions say also.
