After installing the intake. Is it more easier to access the fill plug for transmission fluid?
Yes, now I don't need to remove anything to access transmission filling plug.
Do you have any lag when you hit the gas? I have the same car with the 2.0L engine & ever since installing this, I have a lag that wont go away. I thought maybe it was the car trying to learn the new air fuel mixture, and so I drove it for 100 miles but same thing. I disconnected the battery aswell but nothing.
No I don't have any lag issue with mine. I am not sure what's going on with yours.
Might have to tune it
@@jordyneseymore3516 yeah i came to say the same.
maybe getting a ktuner will fix it. sorry. look into remapping after installing an intake.
@@okayderickokaysquad2658 look into remapping after installing an intake. you might need a ktuner.
Thanks for the clear video. Keep it going
So, I just installed this K&N intake in my 2018 Honda Civic Ex and it sounds amazing. I have a video on my channel if you guys want to check it out
How’s the mileage go? Get better mileage after installed?
Yes, currently I am having 6.7l/100km. Before it was used to be 7.5l/100km.
how much more horsepower did you gain???
U don’t really gain any horsepower by itself I need a tune for it to really help gain horse power this mostly helps with throttle response so it makes your car speed up more and ur engine gets Louder but that’s about it if u tune it I’ve seen seen some help the car get like 5-17 hp
Bro k&n air intake is about 300 $ bro and you are telling me I need a tune???
I preferably want to make Programming with ktune 500$ and I probably will have more and a lot of acceleration and torque and ho
Do you have any idea if this intake is also compatible with the 10th gen Civic 1.8L, as they have the same stock air intake? And may I also know the intake tube diameter? Thank you!
I am not sure about 1.8l engine. You should check with k&n.
@@NorthUbuild would you know the intake tube diameter? I checked the manual but I was not sure if it’s 2.5”.
I am not sure either. I will check in box manual and let you know if there is something.
@@NorthUbuild Yes, thank you. Or would it be okay with you to measure the actual pipe diameter? Thanks a lot!
@@florimelabad1366 No, because I use car for daily to go to work. And its too cold outside now days.
Resonator/muffler delete for ultimate sound without messing with the emissions release
PRL sound 10x better
8:41 the bolts that hold down the metal frame of the intake don't seem to screw down as far as yours do. is there a reason for this or am i doing something wrong?
I am not sure why your bolt not sitting all the way down. Try to check threads are good or not on bolt.
Did you get error codes or lights in your dashboard after installing this intake? please answer..important about to order one...thanks :)
I did not get any fault code after installation.
@@NorthUbuild Thanks for your reply...and overall you like the new sounds it gives to the powertrain? I don't care performance i want better sound...sportier sounds...this does that well?
Not to much different but if you have turbo engine then it should sound much better.
Mines did have the engine lights on and I think has to do with the 2 bottom holes and I’m stuck with it right now tryinna figure out how to fix it
@@sammymalone3777 should check with scanner to see what code says then you can fix it.
Can you put a video with the sound of the shortram? ty
where can i get that socket extension?
Checkout store near by you who sells all hand and power tools
Hey was it worth it putting it on? Or does it not do much of a difference?
Hi, it did increase some power which i can feel it while driving. Also there is difference in sound but its not turbo so sound is not much different.
@@NorthUbuild can please you upload how it sounds ?
@@mujtabahmed Mine is not turbo and its 2L engine which sounds different in persona but I tried to record in the camera but Cant make difference in-camera sound.
no engine light on? after the installed?
No. The mass air flow sensor is still there and nothing else changes.
Plan on getting it tuned ?
I have a 2019 Civic LX auto is there gonna be a sound difference?
Yes. It's same engine. It will sound different and feel more power.
@@NorthUbuild I just don't want to be loud and wanna be standing out. Thanks I'll just get the k&n upgrade stock version.
@@Row-Low then theres no point lmfao
Link to the product ?
Link is in discription of video. It's Amazon Canada. If you are not in Canada, then search on Google with part no from that Amazon link.

Abibi aka abibi
Did you have any engine lights come on?
No engine light. Works smooth.
NorthUbuild thank you.
NorthUbuild could you do a tutorial on putting it on? I want to get one but I can’t find any videos explaining what to do
@@michaelpeticca Hi, my video is almost like how to install it. its very simple. Just need to remove the clamp from the factory air intake. if you don't understand anything from my video let me know and I can answer.
NorthUbuild thank you so much
Best video I saw
Will this burn more fuel ?
Actually no, it's saving fuel. I am used to have 7.6 L/100km. Now I am running at 6.7L/100km.
@@NorthUbuild oh my god this is bad news for fuel,my car 14.3/L..that why i dont want use open pot filter.

2.0 L non turbo
@@NorthUbuild cool same engine in my wife's commuter.
Is it 1.8cc ?
It's 2.0
What model is your car ? Seems like automatic transmission. Is there a lot of sound difference between stock filter and the cold air intake that you installed ?
As in the video the sound seems almost same for both. Is there sound difference on higher rpm and idling ?
Its 2016 EX. Yes its automatic. If you have a manual with turbo then it will be much better sound.
@@NorthUbuild how much sound difference is there in between stock and this system ?
Here’s what it sounds like afterwards.
