I adored Bette Davis and her performance as Regina is nothing short of astonishing. I know Davis and Wyler fought contentiously during filming, particularly because Wyler thought Davis should play the role with a softer edge. I think her instincts were right! It's a chilling performance that speaks to the main theme of greed. This is my favourite Bette Davis film!
@@carolfraz588 I attend Noir City and the Arthur Lyons festival and go to lost of other events in the LA area like Last Remaining Seats which is about 6 or so movies shown during the summer at various historic movie palaces or Cinespia’s summer screening series at Hollywood Forever. There’s always something classic movie related going on in LA :)
The Little Foxes is a great film. Bette Davis could have validly won another Oscar for this role, or for The Letter, or All About Eve. Not trash like Baby Jane.
