Great video Mike. It is a lovely part of the country. Done a lot of walking around here but haven't taken the bike up there yet. I think when it comes to speed the ONLY person who can make a judgement is the person on the bike at the time. It's our arses on the line so our call! 🙂 Subscribed.
Met a South African lad at the Elan Valley visitors centre with a false leg, I was thinking bad accident on the bike, explosion in battle etc etc but no, bitten off by a Tiger shark.......Wasn't ready for that one lol Beautiful place to ride, the mountain road over to Devils bridge is also great.
Good video, enjoyed that. Was up through there yesterday on the bike but couldn't linger as had to get to Aberystwyth. A couple of months has certainly made a big difference to the vegetation - everything is a lot greener and you can't see through some of the corners like you could (also some fabulous banks of bluebells). Defo visor down - bugs everywhere! I didn't know about the car park and toilets over the top dam - and didn't cross it - useful info. There's a 'green lane' goes off round one of the reservoirs from one of these carparks... Is it from that top carpark? Have subscribed. M.
The letter y on it's own is the Welsh word for 'the'...it's pronounced like 'uh' as in the er in butter but without sounding the r ....like butta. It's never a ee sound. Pen uh garreg doesn't sound like penny. Hope that helps. Been on those roads loads of time glad you enjoyed it. DD or dd is like th in this.....Ddu sounds identical to 'thee' Cheers
What a charming location, I'm very much pleased by the content.
