Korean CAs was a bold choice. MBL almost made it work, but they die so fast without Bloodlines. Also, are turtle ships good these days? I have 1000+ recorded games from 1999-2005 and I don't remember them being used even once.
He did a good job with the CAs in terms of maneuvering them around and trying to get as much damage as he could, but ultimately they were just too squishy to fight the faster monaspas (especially without husbandry). Turtle ships can be very powerful, but they need to be defended very well given their ridiculous cost. Sending them alone 1 or 2 at a time is a recipe for disaster.
@castofempires thats probably a good call for veterans, but noobs like myself really appreciate it. Maybe if you put an overlay on the video that lists out the civ bonuses if you go for an abbreviated version? Of course, this is on a month old video, so maybe you've decided on what you want to do already.
A few reasons, too costly to build early. Over most of the game the villager labour time is better spent gathering res or doing other things like building other structures. And in general pros prefer dynamic defence (mobile units) to static defences that can't threaten enemy units. Lastly in late game, stone walls become obsolete as trebuchets can fire over them and petards/rams/bbc can easily tear them down.

What a glorious intro
@arandomwalk Thanks!
@@solorollo9756 his intros are hilarious. It’s a good balance considering the matches are so tense. To each their own I guess.

What an action packed game! Hera gathered 4 relics! When the hell did he did that?
when you get the relics, you get the gold, and when you get the gold, you get the women.
@Lionsthfjj Haha ikr!
@mawbts530 omg I'm definitely going to be using that in a cast at some point! Nice reference!
Let's goooo!
Maybe reduce the civ intro for empire wars
I've been trying to figure out shorter and shorter ways, still a work in progress. Thanks!
