6) Try to get close to enemy units to encourage friendly fire or prevent siege onagers from firing, so your units don’t die in vain. This is very painful to watch.

To counter siege onagers, 1) the infantry unit has to be fast, like eagle warriors. 2) the units are scattered around, in staggered formation. Also, you should split unit as soon as onagers get released. 3) the movement of fast moving units need to be unpredictable. 4) the attack is preferably multi prong, from multiple directions. 5) you may want to sacrifice some units in order to get close to onagers that are protected.
