Just one question: did you use the included decals, or buy waterslides? Updated: sure waterslides :))) I've just ordered them (UV version) on Aliexpress... 5 weeks to wait, but... sure worth. ;)
I know it's been a while, but I am just building the phase 1 frame on my PGU and my paints come in on Monday. On the white kit??? Did you paint clear gloss coat, then panel line? Then matte over the panel line once it was dry? Or......something different ?? I am guessing that blue bottle you used for at least some of the panel lining was "Mr Hobby Weathering Color Paint" ?? Is that Mr. Hobby panel liner different than the Tamiya Panel Liner, and does the treatment have to be different? BTW : Both of these models are some of the best work I have ever seen. Your white color scheme has inspired me to go with a Blue, Gun Metal, Gold scheme probably leaving out red altogether.... Truly inspiring work. Thank you.
on the white, actually yes, gloss coat, then panel line and decal, and matt coat after the blue bottle is acrylic base panel lining, its not from mr hobby, its from a china brand, and since its acrylic, you can make yourself the panel lining, with the correct thinning ratio, and remember to use acrylic thinner to clean, not enamel as the usual tamiya panel lining

@@GundamStore yes, i was meaning one layer after the other :) great work. Only thing I’m here to think about is… if to do a pre-shading on whites or not… You’ve not done… and I like your models a lot… but I’m still thinking if to put pre-shading in the mix…

Did you put a matte coat on the red gundam or did you leave it as semi gloss? It has a very nice texture
yes using matt coat on top of clear colour to achieve satin finish

thanks! we use enamel thinner x20 to remove the lining stains

@@gmeardi nope, it wasnt a mixed colour, it a layered one each as the below ones as undercoat to prepare the final surface coat
