he IS the chaotic entity, and I love how one minute he grabs shi, eats his own eyeball, tightens his grasp and goes to stab them, but instead hits himself
and the next he eats the knife that is literally lodged into his arm, turns it into a pen, and gives it to shi to draw with.
he's so confusing. i love him.

he gives me a strange vibe, like, he feels wrong. he just does such random stuff, makes these abnormal grunting noises that just make my blood curdle, it feels weird. and I love that about his character.
3 months late but i dont think he intends to stab shi. i think hes suffocating shi but then this right arm which he doesnt fully have control in stops him by stabbing him twice. in which he starts vicously mauling his arm

he can stab himself, cut his can in half, and bite his own arms, but he will NOT have this child drooling on his floor they will use a PEN like a CIVILIZED slugcat

if you pause it, and go frame by frame with the . and , buttons, you can see that Polaroid's gaze drifts to his dagger-holding hand BEFORE he strikes at slugbot. He seems surprised. I think that appears to imply he was not totally in control, his arm was acting outside of his own will. something is preventing him from hurting slugbot.
Edit: he then stabs himself a second time, then, grabs his stabbing arm in his teeth and shakes it. like he's trying to attack that arm because it's attacking him. there's something in that arm in particular, (the right one, or, his left), that appears to be acting outside of his will.

Ah, I think he is using a higher-priority taboo related to not hurting certain groups of people (perhaps whatever augmentation the slugcat has received classified it as a citizen) to overwrite the no self-harm taboo.

In case anyone's wondering, according to some random page I found, the glyph above the iterator that turned into rot says "survival", the glyph above polaroid says "friend", and the glyph in the circle says "helping hand". I'm not sure if that's accurate but it's the best I can do

This was very strange yet entertaining all the same. It was oddly terrifying to see Polaroid attacking themselves like that, though my theory is that Polaroid has some sort of programing that stops them from destroying things owned/created by other iterators. Considering how Slugbot is basically a cyborg, one side of Polaroid really wants to kill them while the other side refuses to do so. Nice to see they can repair themselves, though I don't think they can help even if they did believe slugbot. It's time to move on, I guess. Your stuff is perfect as always, best thing to see before bed. :3

I myself noticed this "polarity" in him of not being able to hurt Slugbot and was going to comment it myself, though your theory is much better then the pun I came up with
Perhaps its the "self destruction taboo" at work, since shi most likely consists of "spare parts" from the "other iterator" (the rotted one [remember he was insane too]) and since Polaroid most likely consists of the same parts he can't harm shi in any way (physically) much to his dismay.

AWESOME slapstick!! weird that is he semi-organic- that he bleeds and feels pain. Kind of like Slugbot but on the mirror side of the organic-mechanical spectrum- I guess you can say he is "polar" to slugbot? (slugbot is organic > cyborg while polaroid is mechanical > semi-organic... human imitation?) maybe Polaroid even became organic to ascend?? like FP's goal. but I guess it might be that he is still not fully "organic" and still has machined-in duties to fulfill/his mind cant truly ascend due to half of it still being robotic? Him becoming organic might also explain his duel, split, "polar" (sorry for punning on his name again) - mind that fights between his programmed urge and new organic urge- or he has something that he cants attack Iterator made things but slugbot is only half-iterator made so he attacks it half-heartedly (stole this theory from another comment)

maybe polaroid missed hitting hte pup because his depth perception was off after regenerating an eye there. however, doesn't explain why he didnt just strangle the pup afterwards when he had his hands trembling above its head. he seemed to think better of it, though, and just moved on

Polaroid says that their iterator friend is gone (wiping off the surviror symbol labelled above in the drawing) but slugbot says they arent and since Polar is their Iterator Long Legs's friend they can help em? Too bad Polaroid isn't too keen on having them around, especially since 1 he clearly isnt convinced and probably gave up on that idea a longggggg time ago and 2 that the only way to rid of lil slug-borg is to kick em out of the now hapzardly 'glued' chamber. Wonder whats next on robo-pup's adventure to help their Iterator friend.
