The trail look like an area not many people walk or ride on....very nice scenery. Never enjoyed living or riding in Toronto. Was too busy for my liking. Try coming down to Fonthill, Shorthills and Bruce trails area after the pandemic. You'll enjoy the vibe..
I can see you being a big name in the MTB RUclips scene in the years to come as you are already great and I’m sure you will get even better from ur 1,200 subscriber keep it up👍
Wanted to get into both road and mountain biking. I was didn't know these trails existed and only knew of trails outside of the GTA, like Hardwood, Blue Mountain, etc. I've ran through some of the trails in G Ross Lord and Earl Bales and wondered if they were suitable for MTB. It's good to know that they're are some urban trails relatively close to where I live!
awesome video, this is definitely an overlooked little set of trails. Portuguese lunchbox is one of my favourites. When you turned up the hill to backyard ridge to go to 401 flow, you actually missed a more fun trail that stays along the river, and as others have mentioned, Addington Greenbelt is one of the most fun in the area too.
Thank you for featuring my home trail, West Don Parkland. Maybe you can consider going back coz u missed more areas in there, just message me, I'll accompany you. There are lot's of work to be done, there are only few guys (including myself) taking care of the trails.
@@GoodTrails u have to exit the dam and head to the picnic station part of the park and you'll see an entrance beside the washroom station close to the soccer fields. it won't be hard to find I think
Hey man, love ALL your videos, modest cool guy riding the ol' bike. Love your interest in the scenery. By the way, the "bamboo shoot" might be an invasive plant from Asia, like Japanese knotweed en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reynoutria_japonica . I could be wrong, but if you ever do see knotweed, it's fine to pull out to make room for native plants. P.S. - Goats and sheep love to eat it
Could the bamboo looking plant be Japanese knotweed? It is all over the Don, but when it grows tall you would never know. in the spring it would look like bamboo before it starts growing back.
@@GoodTrails There are some good down hill runs, and trails by Magwood Park that are not on trail forks. One trail has some pretty good down hill flow but its off the main magwood trail.
The main network has way more trails - but these ones are good too. I would reccomend the main network tho as there is many days worth of stuff in there.
@@GoodTrails Never been actually, I only started riding seriously this season. I'm going to "Sentiers de l'Abbaye d’Oka" and it's plenty enough for now, until I'm more confident to do something like Bromont
In Southern Ontario, it's only Blue, Horseshoe and Waterdown has some stuff.. if you're willing to drive take a look at Whiteface Mtn in New York, I have a video for that one coming

Thanks dude! I was there a couple of years ago. Videos is called Jefferson Forrest I think. But, I would like to go there again. It's a big place and I didn't explore the whole area.
Great channel! I am so happy to find it.
Awesome video, never knew we had trails like this, gonna have to go soon time
The trails in the lower don are even better than this
Nice ride!excited to exlore that trails as well
They are fun! I feel like this area has alot of potential
That’s the jump park that I always go to
Nice video, haven't been to this route before.
It's a good ride!
You had me on the edge of my seat. The trails appeared really narrow in some parts! Your brave!
Thanks 4 featuring 401 flow and Portuguese Lunchbox - I've been meaning to check them out!
Do it. They are fun! And there is alot less traffic on those trails than the Don.
marmita
This is awesome! Thanks for posting
No problem! Glad you enjoyed it
Keep up the good work 👍, by the way is it Giant Trance you riding?
Yup, it was a Giant Trance 2 from 2016

Hey Joe, yep this area is much less busy. I grew up in Niagara so I am very familiar with those trails!
You should go to earl bals trails again there has been a lot of changes to the trails
Interesting, i'll have to check it out one day!

They are out there! Have fun exploring the trails!
Awesome!!!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed.
@@GoodTrails I enjoyed it so much I watched this video twice. Ride good trails!!!
Wow! That's great to hear! Thanks Michael.
Sweet run on the ridge line 👍
Thanks! There are unmapped ridge lines like that all over the Don. 2019 Red Bull Rampage in Toronto??? probably not.
Hey man I live here and you missed some spots, there’s a jump park and a small downhill flow trail
Ah cool! I will have to go back!
Good Trails On Trailforks the downhill trail is called Jtrain and the small jump park is at the bottom Addington Greenbelt ravine
Super cool vid! I live nearby and recognized all these, quite a few good spots to explore in the area.
Agreed! I need to get back out there!

Would gravel bikes be able to take on this trail?
I think they would be fine!

No problem! It was really nice in there. I only passed through but I will be back. I wouldn't mind some guidance - I'll let you know!
I am also in Toronto
Go back to g ross lord park theres a mini jump
Ah cool, where abouts?

Wow! hope we could meet on trails one day...there are more trails that you missed...enjoy riding!

Someone else here had mentioned it was noticed as well! Good eye! Glad you are enjoying the videos
Where is the location?
It's in Toronto.
That vegetation is snake grass along the side of the trails
nice! I was hoping someone would answer that. I have been trying to learn more about types of vegetation and trees.
@@GoodTrails It's more commonly known as 'Rough Horsetail' or 'Scouring Rush' in Ontario. Snake grass is what they call it in other countries
Good to know! I've remember seeing it all over the place at Peelee Point. I will wiki it! Thanks!

Great stuff!
What is your source of looking for trails?
I use Trailforks - but I tried to keep my phone put away on this particular ride. You only get to ride a trail network for the first time once.
I biked this on my way to work once it was amazing !
Nice! I love taking the trails to work! Back when I lived in the city - I could take the Don trails from Don Mills to downtown.
ride The Humber River by Lambton
What is there to ride over there?

train != TTC :p
Indeed!
This trail starts at Keele and lanstaff. Nice long trail.
I might have to go out and ride this one again tomorrow!

wish we had trails like that in Montreal !! I have to rent a car everytime I want to ride properly :o

hey do you know any mountain spot where you can ride a dh rig

Can u do one without commentary n in toronto ?
I don’t live in the GTA anymore. Check out “Andre Laurent MTB” on RUclips. He makes good videos all around the GTA and posts frequently.
Have you ever entered from Senlac /Sheppard,nice short run.
No I haven't, but I have seen some video and it looks pretty fun
yo bro lets go trailing sometime together I love mountain biking
sounds good! I will have to get some kind of group ride going once this pandemic is over!

I just added it to the description.
Thanks!
The whole point of mtbing is getting lost. The best of times. Come up to 3 Stage this season dude. Couple new trails
Yup - It's just difficult to get lost in the city.
Also, I was there yesterday! It was great.
first one I've seen, yes sir, that's a trail...
Indeed it is!
