What an eventful trip! It was scary at times, but so much fun and laughter. Mike, you and your snow reports remind me of me and my tornado updates. Who am I kidding, I do the same thing with snow, except my snow is 1/2 inch accumulations about every 3 years. LIKED for Micah and family time!

The drone footage was awesome!! What a blessing to have a large family and the means to be able to get together and make these special memories! We got 14 inches of snow in Minnesota so I know the challenges you had during this storm. I have never seen a pizza that big. You saved it. What a beautiful house. You made it out, yeah!! I have a small, 5x8, enclosed trailer that I use, it holds 2 complete photography studio setups, including props, backdrops, lighting gear and all the associated stuff you see in a photography studio.

I wish my family was as close as yours. They mostly don't like each other and family events are pretty stiff or don't exist. You just seem to make the best of your lives which is amazing.

Wow!!!! What an adventure!!! That mansion was unbelievable!!! What a contrast between fun, adventurous Savannah and Mike. What was the purpose of this visit? Why did you have to head into the storm if you know it was going to be bad. I love, though, how you conquered the situation with tire chains to get out of there!!! Way to go, Mike!!! So, you were the hero the whole time...getting the family home safe, I presume. Can't wait for the recap video!!! We just got about six inches here last night from, I believe, the same storm system. New England is getting the end of it today.
Hey Neil, the purpose of the visit was actually to surprise my mom for here 70th bday. We planned this a year ago and a few weeks before the trip she and my dad had to cancel. We knew when we made plans weather was going to be a factor but didn't expect it to be that bad. That's right, I was the hero the whole time lol I spend so much time freaking out about everything which means Savannah gets to spend all her time having fun. Stay safe in that snow!
36 minute vlog. Love it. Love the editing of it and I'm not done yet. I'm used to the northeast with multiple weather conditions. If your not used to it,it can catch you off guard.

Omg!!! When we lived in Utah, we would go to Garden City to see my mother-in-law. You will have to go back in the summer as well. For Mens Retreat at our church we would get one of those houses there.
Michael, the summer sounds like much safer conditions lol That would be fun to do some lake activities!
Oh yeah. There are definitely a lot more people because they like to go fishing in Bear Lake but it is awesome in the summer as well. They have go-karts for the kids and the obstacle course that you passed by on your way to your house is a lot of fun as well. Your three oldest kiddos would have a blast on that.
Now, that's more like my life... at least six-seven months of the year. Right "Somers in Alaska" Lol...Haha 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

Hey I thought we were family man!!!! what happened? Oh I see my invitation got lost in the mail right? Lol I couldn't come anyway. I could not handle the ride. I have never been on an airplane and I'm scared of heights. As for the snow...... I have Fibromyalgia Sjourns and raynauds overlap. this winter has gotten me down for the count. I love the snow but the cold etc doesn't love my old body😊
Lol😂 We definitely had extra rooms! The cold was intense but with all the excitement and fun we didn’t even care🤩 Yeah, the cold isn’t good on your joints🥶

Snowed in? My dad told me he was snowed in once when he was younger. Scary moments.
For us Californians, we consider this snowed-in lol We are babies when it comes to weather!
I would be inside, right in front of a fireplace lol. I can't really take the cold and it's hard to put enough layers on under a skirt to stay warm; wearing ski pants or anything like that is a no go for me since I'm Apostolic Pentecostal and we don't wear pants. At 59 my days of playing in the snow are pretty much over lol; much rather curl up in front of a fireplace with a book than be out in such cold weather 😂

It doesn't. When they were in Idaho getting a Christmas tree, Mike made the comment that he couldn't go any further up the mountain because his Toyota was only 2WD.

I love my Sequoia but the only thing I would change is that she's not 4x4 :( I've looked into converting it but I guess it's not worth the time; so it's 2WD+Chains for me lol
Yeah Mike it's not worth it. You might as well get a new vehicle that has 4wd already equipped on it. That and you will only be going up north for work with David and vacations. On the interstate, you will be okay with 2wd. My mother-in-law lives in Garden City and we took our FWD Santa Fe up there all the time and were fine. Having chains will work perfect.
