1720, Garter Snake

The Garter Snake, the snake of my youth. It's the snake who I connected with when reading about my Chinese zodiac sign, reading in my comfortable solitude, my bedroom nook. I remember warm days when the earth in a ditch would give birth to hundreds of baby garter snakes, the tiny jet black perfect snakes, as they always have been and will be.
