- I had the pleasure to sit with the 2 division champion boxer Shakur Stevenson. We talked about a lot of things including, his fight next fight in Vegas, November 16th against Edwin De Los Santos, origin of Devin Haney beef, getting hate on social media, becoming a free agent soon, hunger to become a legend and more.
Shakur should’ve took the offer from Haney, he could’ve been in line for big pay days moving forward with all the belts. He deserved the fight right away imo, but he didn’t deserve a 50/50 split. Devin put in work to get in position to take the larger purse

The difference is that Shakur was Devin Mandatory. Frank was being offered a big fight in without having done much of anything.
Shakur is ranked #1 by the WBC and Martin #2. Sounds like a 55-45% no less than 60-40% fight to me. If there's 9 million in the pot Shakur is not getting 8 and me 1 for a vacant title when he needs me just like I need him. Frank was correct for not taking that fight. Shakur aint Tank nor Devin!!!! Clearly Kur doesn't handle his own negotiations. He's not the boss of his business so he's not gonna know the complete ins and outs at the pre-contract stage of negotiations. He don't know what Dev proposed even if he thinks he does because his manager/promotor is only gonna speak on money since they have their hand in his pot. Kur business is poor and it shows in his level of competition and ticket sales. Why turn down Dev's offer to try and go through the WBC if the only issue was the money ? The WBC don't decide how much he should be paid. Kur needs Dev more than Dev needs him. Dev gave him a chance to prove he really wants to fight, Kur rejected it and Dev moved forward like he's supposed to. Simple as. And if Kur's plan was to make more money fighting later, why he mad at Devin for not fighting him now ? That Kid confused.
Edit: The WBC would enforce the fight yes but Dev still would say 25 and Kur would've rejected that anyway ? so that WBC trick he tried to do was just an ass pull to have an excuse. The negotiations would've fell through anyway, Dev just cut to the chase.
If Devin wins the title @ 140 his numbers will go up!!! Only way Shakur can supersede that is a win over Tank and my money says that aint gonna happen!!!!!

@@J-Hue yeah i know it’s horrible to compare anything to Floyd but if he is still getting backend money off old fights it would be crazy. Then 50% of the purse bid for the WBC could be lower than the 25%. We don’t know that’s why i wish they would just keep negotiations quiet.
