    This was one of the turning points for U.S. soccer. This was when we refused to ever allow Mexico to beat us at home. USA USA USA !!!!!

    @germanloks12 Notice that all of their friendlies in the US are in cities with large Mexican communities (Dallas, LA, Houston, Phoenix)...but the qualifers are in colder cities with not as many Mexicans (Boston, Columbus, Nashville)

    Mexico losing to USA means more to me than anything in the world.

  • @vivelavidarocka

    USA plays with a stadium supporting our team only at Columbus. Everywhere else in this country, is Mexico who has the advantage of having the public on his favor. And still we have dominated 'em for a decade. Another one, and will be a whole generation of mexicans experiencing defeat by the truly Kings Of Concacaf. We need to start assisting to Copa Americas and Libertadores if we want to improve our football level. Beating Mexico for another 10 yrs won't take us too far in the sport

    I seem to remember beating Mexico in the world cup in 2002. So mexico can get over their 5-0 win against our D league team.

    @germanloks12 They don't, and I get so sick of people saying that. The United States plays Mexico in Mexico during World Cup Qualifiers EVERY CYCLE. So it's fair.

    usa plays very well , but the problem is quality players, Mexico has invest many money in soccer, stadiums, championships, players go to foreign, but sincerely performance´s mexico has gradually out improved

  • @greenman1694
    @greenman1694 14 лет назад

    @GemStealth mexico does have more stadiums then estadio azteca , they could play in the new chivas stadium, in monterrey, in cancun, in CU hell they can play in a whole bunch of stadiums , but mexico wants to earn more $ so they bring the came to the usa since its good for both teams i know they just want $ and since the tickets are cheaper in the u.s they go there

  • @peperg270
    @peperg270 13 лет назад +1

    @germanloks12 Because Mexico loves playing in the US. Even when they dont play against the US they still play in the US. But when they need a win to qualify to the World Cup they play in the Azteca since no team can beat them there.

  • @botaaurreragogor
    @botaaurreragogor 13 лет назад +2

    Wow...that was then. The US pretty much plays the same way today, very basic in many areas, simple in attacks as it should be, but back then Mexico was staying behind due to its incompetent Soccer institutions leadership failing to implement an improved program to set a higher standard across the league and in it's national team. For more than a decade Mexico's Main Soccer institution failed to prepare the national team for any game

  • @systmman14

    @1CHENTE We have a long way to go with this sport. So yeah, we're gonna suck now. But once we finally get into the momentum, we'll be a really good, solid team. Don't doubt it. USA has a way of making things happen.

    @germanlocks12 both federations usually agree to play in the us but they usually play in places like LA or Houston or Mexican populated places but becuase of Mexicos Physical stature as a country they only play qualifying matches in Mexico

  • @systmman14

    2 things i notice in this video.
    1. how tough mcbride was. he was never afraid to go up for anything
    2. how awful Mexico's jerseys look. I know the USA's aren't that nice but not that ugly

  • @durango34040

    @Headcheezonium what do you have to say about the gold cup final 2011 4-2?????
    USA had all there "best players'' on the field
    as did Mexico and we were down by 2 goals and made 4 without recieving a goal

  • @LiquidYogi

  • @usteeler81
    @usteeler81 14 лет назад

    @1CHENTE yep, a D team, considering they won this game, and the fact that the US is 13-0-1 aganist Mexico at home, yep, they certainly are a D team.

    USMNT only wins in the US against Mexico, big deal.. US has NEVER won in Mexico, ever.. And winning at home for US against Mexico is a big deal hence this video. The one thing too is USMNT fans always claim, "we're getting closer, better to Mexico".. haha.. really..? 5-0 in New York.
