The message 'Print Unable 36' will appear on the display if there is a mechanical malfunction of the Brother machine. ... To reset the machine, power the machine Off using the power switch located on the right side of the machine. Wait approximately 10 seconds and then power it back On.

Yes, most of the time this problem is caused by HVPS board. In this case we can solve it by following the steps given below.
1. High voltage power supply PCB failure Replace the high voltage power supply PCB ASSY
2. Harness connection failure of high voltage power supply PCB Check the harness connection of the high voltage power supply PCB and reconnect it
3.Main PCB failure Replace the main PCB ASSY.
