Bennett is a lot like Pavarotti when he's singing with other folks, you can really see how much respect and love he has with all these different people's personalities and sounds
The great Eydie Gorme sang this song back in the 1960s and brought everyone to their feet whenever she did. One memorable performance was on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. That was in 1966 and it was hard not to notice how blown away Ed and Johnny were when she was done. // But where are my manners? THIS is a fantastic duet performance. Loved hearing them together.
I want to be around to pick up the pieces... when somebody breaks your heart, a Somebody twice as smart as me... A Somebody who will swear to be true, as you used to do to me.
When Tony finished his first verse it tailed off with a very 'Louis Prima' sound. He's got a cracking voice our Tony! Bono fantastic when pushing his voice hard was a close second in this I think.
What could be better than these two MUSIC LEGENDS performing together! I have had the pleasure of seeing them both live, and I must say words cannot extol the majesty they posses. I would love to do dinner with them.
Gracias mister Tony B. Encantada Como siempre sobre todo con sus Artista elejidos buen ojo e oido gracias God Bless una gran salud Para Ud. Gracias eternas .❤❤❤❤❤❤🐎🐎🐎😎🏆🏆🏆🏆❤❤❤😎
I feel so sorry that he has Alzheimer's and not able to perform any more. I will be looking for him on the other side when its time for me to cross over. Never be forgotten.
Rest in peace Tony. "Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life; and everyone who is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all. Do you believe this?” She said to him: “Yes, Lord, I have believed that you are the Christ, the Son of God, the one coming into the world.” (John 11: 25-27)

I have nothing but respect mr Bennett for changing the key to facilitate Bono, but with all due respect, Bono has no place anywhere near this piece of music ( and he knows it), stick with what you do and this is not it.

Wow, what a disappointment. Such an outstanding song in it's 1963 original treatment, and then to hear Tony struggle like this with Bono only adding to the musical misery. Almost brought tears to me eyes to hear what this once-great song turned into.
what? why? why would they give THIS song to Bono? He doesnt have the voice for this song. He should stick to singing with U2. Bono with Luciano Pavarotti, Bono with Tony Bennett .... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. He murders the songs, and not in a good way. The end.
I've always thought Bono's voice is perfect for jazz. It's a shame he hasn't done more in the genre. Check out the song he wrote/sang for Frank Sinatra (Two Shots of Happy, One Shot of Sad). I don't mind him doing duets with jazz greats. It's also kinda disrespectful to Bennett by questioning his choice to sing with Bono - Bennett calls the shots here, not Bono.
@@CordeauxG Bennett literally didn’t know what is happening anymore. He had dementia. I went to his concert 3 years ago and he had to be physically walked on and off the stage.
@@preciousthing101 Wasn't the Duets album recorded in 2005 though? In the video, Bono looks similar to how he looked on U2's Vertigo tour which ran from 2004-06. Not sure if Bennett's mental state was seriously declining at that point (I thought that started happening in the 2010s)?
I could listen to Tony Bennett a thousand times times a thousand! Rest in peace, Tony.
Beautiful , Bono with Tony wonderful. Can’t say it enough times👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Sure can’t
Super!!!
R.I.P. Tony Bennett. Nós, Cariocas do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, sempre ficamos orgulhosos de você e sua paixão por nossa cidade.

To bad we couldn't get a Tony and Eydie duet!
I love tony since I was young
One of my BIGGEST regrets in life is that I never saw Mr. Bennett live after he beat his addictions. A true pioneer!!! 🙏

My favorite.

This is possibly one of the finest musical tributes to both ever, by Bono Vox and Tony Benedetto, that I have heard! Love it!
Tony sounded magnificent in this studio track
A+ duet, by 2 megastars!! Great stuff. Tony shines no matter who he sings with!!!!! 😎🎶

Never die...just keep on living .
Bennett’s voice is a brass instrument
Haha! It could knock down walls.

Who is the third man explaing the process?
Does anybody know why this song got replaced on Spotify by a duet with Guatelaman singer Ricardo Arjona? Even the version that says Bono on it
Tonny Bennett is very much like Sinatra.
wtf is bono doing in there?
RIP
other you tube videos comments are only weeks old....and many others are months old...please help me out with why.

👽💞💞💞💞🍻
Everything great, but...it often doesn't mention the ..other singer!
(In this case, Ricardo Arjona, so, duet, is with 2 people...)!
Just that

Poor Tony. I really don't know how he did it trying to sing with someone that almost sang "if you want to call it that" in tune. Almost.
