Another FV100 series platform but no FV101 with 30mm, 76mm or even 90mm ... or maybe even a FV120 Spartan. Most of these you can take the asset from the Fox turret and place it on the Stormer AD. Several turret variants exist that would be nice to see in game.
But that requires gaijin being competent in their job

Most western gatling SPAA systems use the M161 20mm Vulcan, the reason the Stormer is impressive is that it uses the GAU-12 25mm Equalizer. As far as I know the only vehicles to use this gun in the game are the later American Harriers (all the AV8Bs) and the LAV-AD.

Hey Justin, you reeeally need to check out the Magach 5. You may think, “Oh Ben it’s just another Magach, once I’ve played one I’ve played them all”. No sir, no you haven’t. It’s at *8.0 with APFSDS and BLAZER ERA*. Again I say, fricken 8.0!!!
Ofc there’s a catch, no stabilizer or .50 cal compared to the 8.7 Magachs, however most enemies you face are heat slingers so you can take a hit with the ERA, and you can also Lol-pen everything you face. Those poor 7.0s won’t know what hit them…
completely agree, bonkers that it is at the same br as the magach 6 with dogwater pen for 105mm sabot (265mm-ish pen at 0 degrees point blank)

I put in a bug report for the USA rotary cannons, including the stormer ad ofc after looking into the a10s gun spall spread.. The spall spread for our hvap is EXTREMELY tight so much so it doesnt look intended. Its why it takes unreal accuracy from the side. On top of its pen being pretty trash for some reason.
I uninstalled the game while I waited for this thing for years, probably won't reinstall but it's neat that it's finally in

It both is and isn't. It is because it has less missiles, worse mobility, less cannon ammo, and no AT secondary. However, you do get a search radar, which the LAV-AD lacks

It's certainly got it's shortcomings, with range being a big one, and it could do with some more ammo, but I've had a tonne of fun with it so far. It's got a pretty decent line-up you can build around it too. Just need gaijin to stop putting me on the team with all the CAS.
More importantly, another addition to my CRV(T) chassis line-up. Need the scorpion 90 and Scimitar and I can have a full rounded lineup all on the same chassis.
You should revisit some variant of the M60 (not the 120S or M60AMBT) Maybe the AOS or RISE (P)

Whats the difference between E and K rocket variant on stormer, in more details why you turn off radar, does enemy have some kind of alert that you locked rocket on him?, can smoke save you from long range jet rockets if rocket is already in air, can you defend yourself from spikes with smoke? Or that some high tier helis got some anti lock system and i cant lock rocket on them, how it works or something. Is it better to shoot rocket at jet on incoming jet, or when he runs from you, when firing rocket at jet is too close, and can jet outrun rocket?

Anyway the FIM-92K is actually worse than E variant, it has a proximity fuse just to be effective against drones because they are harder to hit directly since they are smaller but it already has a small warhead and a proximity fuse decreases its effectivenes against standard size aircraft because a direct hit is better
The turret on the Stormer AD will never look like it fits that hull! Anyway, I love the video and if I may I would like to suggest the MBT-70/KPZ-70. I’ve heard recently that it is actually alright, and would like to know if it’s worth researching because it is one of the two 9.3 tanks in the US tech tree. Alright that’s about all I had to say, have a good day!

Has anyone figured out how to unbind acquire mode for SAMs on R? It starts acquiring every time I turn on/off my radar or rangefinder, and it's driving me nuts!

Stinger K should have a datalink option, allowing it to be guided by radar.
It's just a LAVAD with no rockets...

As a British main this is the thing we asked for years... Yes this is not the best SPAA in the world but British desperately need a SPAA to fill the gap between no missile marksman/ZA-35 to stormer that cannot hit fixed wing jets.

Unless you have issues with latency, the Stormer can hit fixed wing aircraft just fine. Obviously it's a bit more difficult without a proxy fuse, but that just comes down to practise

Does RWR pick up that you are trying to lock a jet with a missle or is it only picking up there radar?
Radar, the missile is IR so its can't be identified by RWR, IR can only be identified possibly by MAW

As an SPAA main and someone who has the OG Stormer as my most played vehicle by a long shot, I have a lot of thoughts about this thing.
1. Absolutely no excuse to not give it its 30mm gun except Gaijin's usual anti-British bias.
2. Its 0.3 BR below the BEST SPAA for its BR in the entire game. Why would I ever play this over the OG Stormer?
3. 20+ second reload for 2 missiles. Ridiculous!
4. Why was this even added to the game? To fix British SPAA is simple, add Wolfrma ASRAAM as the new top BR vehicle, move Falcon down to 7.7 or keep it at 8.0 and give it its historically accurate laser rangefiner, add Tracked Rapier at 9.3, then add some vehicle to bridge the gap between skink and 7.7/8.0.
To me, this vehicle is utterly pointless. I have about a 4 K/D in the Stormer and this thing just does everything the OG Stormer can, but worse. The OG Stormer has about a 90% hit rate on EVERYTHING out to its max range (Way further IRL) of 7KM, can take out ALL ground vehicles easily (MBTs might need a few missiles) and is COMPLETELY untrackable thanks to its IRST system.
The only thing that the Stormer AD does better than the OG Stormer is a better power to weight ratio, that's it, and the OG Stormer moves quickly enough as it is.
Oh well, at least its not the worst SPAA addition of the update. Yes, I'm looking at you Antelope, you over-BR'd spotting vehicle!
hello, Stormer HVM idiot here, how on earth do you play it? I struggle with using the missiles well
for me and others with over 200 ping playing the hvm stormer is damn near impossible to use, the missiles just glide right through any target we aim at, so something likes this new AD version have finally made it possible for us to play an effective counter to cas now, which is something we have been begging for.
for you the stormer hvm will be superior as you can actually hit your targets but for the rest of us this thing even in its "nerfed" status lacking the 30mm and the long missile reload is absolutely required to have ANY anti-cas ability.
could still go down to 9.7 in my opinion though

This thing is basically dead on arrival, brits not only didn't need an aa at 10.0, but this thing trades half of the features that lav-ad has just for a radar. So yeah, it is a worse lav-ad at the same br.
The thing is that none of the top/high tier UK AA has guns, you either take the ZA-23 and don't have missiles, or the Stormer HVM and CANADATS which struggle at close range (HVM especially). It also gives you a second SPAA system you can take with the 10.3 lineup without having to use a backup on the HVM.
From what I've seen on the forums there is a 30mm armed version which would make it much better against vehicles but I doubt Gaijin would want to add it.
