to be true English bond all the bricks should be the same way round on every course, stretchers down the side and headers at the end or vis versa with a queens closure on the corner
Only thing I see wrong is they could of widen your work spot a little more and gave you more room to move but other then that great job always love the videos keep it up 😎👍
Constructive criticism only mate but unless things have changed that isn't the way to do it. Should be no cuts you hang the bricks out on the corners as if it's being toothed, it's all underground and won't be seen and a stronger job. As for the lid you just corbel the last couple of courses in to fit.
@@tonnywhite123 fair enough I should have reversed on the corner, but the bond is still English Bond, and the plan told me to build it exactly how I have, I have to work to the plan 👍

Dude got some wrists, full trowel, stiff as "f" mud, gonna wear out young man.
Yeah I need to look after myself more, cheers 👍
Learn the bond mate
Stretchers change direction headers always opposite thats why your corners dont bond properly😮
What mix ratio do u do
The mix used in this video was 3-1 because the work was below ground
Never is that English bond change direction change bond eg stretchers running into headers where's the key brick ?.

Fair enough mate 👍 I did ask about corbeling so it would work full bricks but the wanted it building to those exact dimensions 😬
@@MorganTheBuilder 👍 unfortunately mate we spend our lives working for clueless people 👍
@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 too right mate 👍
Very true
Bang on about hanging it over in to no man's land
Thats not english bond dude, every course should be headers one one elevation, stretchers on the other. then swap on the next course 👍✌
No this is definitely English Bond...
Sorry mate but it just isn't, have a look at this photo to see where you went wrong 👍 images.app.goo.gl/hqQfjsQU1EvwZqyA6

That is a disaster lol
In what way is it a disaster???
Why are you plumbing it. Do you really think some one is going to get in it and check wtf
I take pride in all my work regardless of it’ll ever be seen or not 👍
@@MorganTheBuilder Good answer, you know its right even if its not seen
Its bloody painful to watch you make something easy look so hard
Don’t watch it then 🤷♂️
There’s always one who knows it all😂
Put some of your work up then
