This is what life is about, a huge aviary, a coffee table a comfortable chair, and the joy of a freshly brewed black coffee just admiring the view. I would be content living the rest of my life just like this.
Wow!! This is great! A big, natural aviary. I have one like this for my pigeons, but with Mediterranean landscaping. We need more natural aviaries in the community.
One day I want an big flight aviary for my bird like this. Many native plants and trees, your is exactly what I want for my guys one day. Very natural and beautiful. Thank you for sharing. :)
I wish I could have provided this for my two parrots. They are now at Cape Fear Parrot sanctuary in an outdoor aviary in Pink Hill North Carolina though. They have over 300 parrots to feed! Please keep them in mind for donation. Thanks you
Truly amazing. Whats the purpose of it? I would like to have one like this here in Miami in order to breed Painted Buntings and release them to repopulate places where they are no longer seen.
Now that's what I call an "aviary" in terms of space. This is an ideal size for birds who need to stretch their wings and won't feel psychologically confined.
Can you do a video explaining how you did it? Where did you buy your poles from? Where did you get the netting from? What type of netting is it? Did you have contractors build it for you?
Brilliant idea . I am a person who love much birds It is my dream but I have no place to inhabitant birds like you . You have large place but birds are very few should keep more birds as gouldian finch as well.
One of the best natural aviary. greeting from indonesia. blessed live here. its easy to find gorgeous bird. wish all bird lover had a chance to visit indonesian bird market someday
I was surprised to see that you do not have a double door setup so that birds don't escape the aviary when you open it. My aviary doesn't have a double door system, but I raise peacocks not birds that are constantly flying. With such a large aviary you could easily have some type of pheasant in there too.
I must build one on my property for my rescue parrots and chickens! Please feel free to share any advice or guidelines on how to install one of these things! :)
@@houidiabdelhadi6438 But you don't even know her, so you can't love her. You're just some desperate virgin who has no idea how to approach a woman so does it as weirdly as possible online with a marriage proposal.
Please say where this is ! How long it took you to build. How much money to build. What kind of birds you keep. If your birds are hand tamed. I look forward to hearing the story of this most beautiful aviary. 😁🦋
Love how all the comments are , "we have all wanted one just like this, all our bird keeping life", as is mine. Great job in Australia I would have to watch out for mice getting in through the wire but if you go down to 1/4 " mesh and rat walls, that stops them.
hi WhiteBlackbird, gr8 concept. I'm a commercial landscaper and am trying to get my biggest client to do what you have done, do you have a plan of the layout, please. Did I notice cages within the cage, is this for nesting, breeding or isolation of sick birds? love to discuss this further with you. re Tim (Tamborine mountain Queensland)
Hi Tim, Lovely area you live in! Unfortunately not a real layout plan available, but the dimensions of the aviary are 30 mtrs. long, 16 mtrs, high. Height varies from 2 to 4 mtrs. Made of steel pipe, the same type they use for fencing. Joints are more or less of the scaffolding type. On top black nylon netting(UV resistant) and on the sides darkgreen wiremesh attached to several tense strings of 4 mm. green wire. Outside the aviary, 15 cm. above the ground there’s an electric wire running round the whole aviary to discourage cats, fox, marten etc. There are two small aluminium aviaries inside the big aviarie. Those small flights ( 2x2x2 mtrs.) are designed as feedingarea’s and also to catch birds, if necessary. Inside the little flights are birdfeeders with 4 feedingcontainers each (2 on each side) Food outside the breedingseason consists mainly of pellet food and fruit. The little pond is connected (under the ground) using a plastic pipe to a a nearby bigger pond and canal. So a water and food supply is constantly available and gives the owner the opportunity to go on holiday without asking other people to take care of his birds while he’s away. Hope this will help. Best regards from the south of France
woops just found the extended reply, all good and we have cats, foxes, dingos, and assorted other animals, much like urs so electrifying is an idea. we were thinking of putting peacocks, pheasants, parrots, and some smaller songbirds in little flocks so need a good long flight area. In your cage, do the birds develop a hierarchy and specific ownership zones?
@@tjwilbur6137Best way in my opinion is to keep birdspecies that are not related and live in different ‘layers’of the aviary. Which means birdspecies that live mainly on the floor, species that prefer dense vegetation, species that live in open spaces and species that prefer tree tops. Or a variety of more or less social birds that breed in loose colonies. In my case those were azurewinged magpies, different starling species, several laughingthrushes, real trushes and bulbuls, all living together in one big enclosure. Most birds defend a small area around their nestingsite, but ofcourse there are also songbirds that defend an area bigger than the aviary. Normally this is only against their own species. Be careful when you keep galliformes together with passarine birds in one avaiary. Maybe you have to use antiparasite medication and worm your bird more frequently..

Kinda pointless i say. No different from taking a walk in the woods. With such a huge aviary, birds could be sick or dead and you won't even notice.
Lindo! este seu pequeno paraíso, parabéns.👏🇧🇷
How do you feed the birds in the winter? Wonderful video😊
