@Kenneth, no Haley was not sick. The real story is... she was on tour and have been singing all week, this is their day off from tour. On this day, she had already sang in two other videos, All About That Bass and sang back up for Styles. This was the end of the day and Haley was tired and was not sure she can give her all for the video. Scott convinced her to do 1 take. Thus Haley's AMAZING talent was captured for all to enjoy.

Hi Dave, I saw Haley's name on the tab and immediately jumped over to see this! I've seen all of AJ's reactions but I also adore Haley. IMO, this is the single best vocal performance on YT. Haley's voice and jazz skills are unmatched. I knew you would love this esp. with that little scat run. Haley performed on American Idol in 2011 and came in 3rd but we all know she should have won. PMJ is a lot of fun but their most viewed are with Haley as the lead singer. She has 5-6 other songs with PMJ that are just as awesome. Haley has sung with her parents jazz band in Chicago since a child and studied jazz. She calls herself an old soul and loves jazz and 60's rock (which she dedicated an entire album to titled "What's That Sound").Haley has several original songs with some of her best on her album "Lo-Fi Soul". Haley is a masterful jazz artist and you will love nearly every song she performs. Not only does she sing great but she is the best on stage performer, imo. She sang Elvis' "Can't Help Falling In Love" for a 2 minute commercial for Wrigley's Extra Gum that went viral in 2015 that I encourage you to listen to. As all of her stuff on their very extensive RUclips Chanel have by far the most views relative to all the other videos. Meanwhile, while everything Haley did with PMJ is excellent, her covers of "Seven Nation Army" and "Oops, I Did It Again" with PMJ will definitely blow you away every bit as much as "Creep" just blew you away.
