My wife and I went to Breathless Punta Cana for our honeymoon. We like the resort, but were disappointed by the food that they were calling gourmet. It wasn't bad, just not as good as we were expecting something labeled as gourmet. Hopefully that has changed now that it's been nearly 7 years.
so my sister & our family friends daughter are graduating next year & they wanted to go to Azul Resort in Cancun, is this better or ?? bc i myself would book a room there if they were close by, or should i just go & stay at the Azul? bc i love everything abt this one
I haven’t been to that one, I would just check ratings and amenities to compare. All I can say is, we’ve tried 12 top rated and this one is top 2 for us.

Oh man that’s so tough. The thing we’re realizing as we review more and more is everybody’s got their downsides and strong suits. Hyatt is my favorite resort collectively. I would say Wyndham and Breathless Riviera are the best food we’ve ever had. Hyatt has the best beach without question. It’s both sides of the tip of Cancun and they barely let any salesmen on it so that’s pretty sick. Hyatt has great food, but the other two resorts is slightly better.
The one thing that I’ve learned from reviewing resorts is “the best” is so relative to taste. Lol. If you’re going for the beach, or party atmosphere, Cancun soul. If you’re going for the food, and unique pools, riviera.
Best one for lunch is the Mexican restaurant next to Spoons. For dinner hibachi. I believe the steak house has a lobster option but not 100% sure on that.
What kind of music was live? Was there any Latin, 80's 90's. Valentin has awsome live music, but it's all couples. Do you know of a resort that older ladies that party and dance hard would enjoy?Not a kids or couples place. We don't care if the people are young.
They have an assortment throughout the week. When we were there it was a Queen cover band. I would say either Breathless Soul or Breathless Riviera - best for dancing and parties but it’s an assorted crowd. Weekends are ideal!

I think the food is a bit overrated sometimes you can tell when they tend to get busy and cook a bunch of food and have microwaved it and served it to you. Their night life seen is okay. I wouldn’t say off the chain🤟🏼

We filmed this one end of January. So when you book Secrets, Breathless is included. But not the other way around. 🙂

That’s mostly what they play at the party pool and the neon party.

The food is best at riviera, the party is fire at soul. The beach is nicer at soul but it is open to the public.
