Mercury tells us it engineered its line of 3.4-liter V-6 FourStroke outboards to optimize performance and reliability while reducing weight and maximizing fuel economy. According to the builder, its product testing shows that these outboards deliver Mercury’s best-ever hole shot times for a 4-stroke outboard in their horsepower range, as well as to be quite fuel efficient.
