Well I was going to buy this bumper cuz it look pretty neat...but I don't want all the problems.. I'll find another bumper.. thanks for the video it was a big help
It seems like it sits too low in relationship with the tailgate. I would like to see how much clearance there is between the tailgate and the bumper. I would probably make new brackets to set it up higher if there is adequate clearance.
I measured it this morning and the clearance from the top of the bumper to the tailgate when it is open is 3/4”. It may have been the angle that I filmed at or the of the pictures that made it appear like it had a larger gap.
No more than a couple of inches. It hasn’t hurt the ability to dump. I also installed a Bowduploader (deer winch, stump loader) on the back which includes a strap so it doesn’t over extend the dump which could damage the tilt dump shocks.
@@bigdsoutdooradventure thanks, I was a little concerned about limited travel making it a little more trouble getting under there for service but it sounds like that’s a non issue

Your welcome. It has been a really good bumper since I installed it. It’s sturdy for sure. Good luck in your search!

How much bed travel do you think was lost by the brackets contacting the muffler?

what size rims and tires are those?
Those were 28” tires. I have 30” on there now.
Will this bumper interfere with a rear camera?
I am not sure. I don’t have a rear camera on my Ranger.
