I discovered Iron Savior around 2008 from pandora radio with only 3 songs from Megaropolis on it: Omega Man, I still Believe, and Megatropolis. It was my first time hearing power metal, omega man was great, but I Still Believe had such power and speed that I had to have more. Favorite Band ever, early albums great too! Don't waste time with reforged, the originals are pure gold. The songs Iron Savior, Watcher in the Sky and Brave New World sum up the general storyline and theme of their songs.

Iron Savior is awesome on all the albums, songs: Starborn, Deadly sleep, Brothers of the past, Eye to eye, Atlantis Falling, Riding on Fire, Watcher in the sky, Battering Ram , Starchaser, ,Riding Free, Tiranny os Steel, H.M. Poered Man, Protector, Tales of the bold, Thunderbird, Cyber Hero, Cybernetic Queen, Faster than all, Heroes Ascending, and much more....
I looooove iron savior, have heard them for 22 years. Have their logo from condition red tattoed on my arm. You really need to listen to their older albums. Im sure you will love them to :)
This album got a 10th Anniversary re-release in 2021. It was remastered as well with Bonus Tracks. You mentioned Megatopolis 2.0...it's actually a remaster/remix, that's also a partially re-recorded deal, as that was their first album on AFM Records after coming over from Noise Records. The Reforged albums, one of them being released here in 2022, are re-recorded songs from their Noise Records albums. Each Reforfed album is a 2-disc release conraining between 20 and 24 tracks each. You see, due to legal reasons they couldn't re-release the long OOP and hard to find Noise albums on AFM, but there was nothing against them re-recording those older songs, so they did. And after two double length albums, they've got about 72% of that old NOISE Records material re-recorded. 43 out of 59 songs. Regarding the bald guy, yes, he does resemble Ralf Scheepers. He's also the vocalist and lead guitarist as well. His name is Piet Sielck and they do all the recording and mixing in his own personal studio. Pretty cool deal. I took notice of the band back in 2007 with the release of Megatopolis, however I did nit, and have not bought any of their catalog BECAUSE when I look into getting into a new band, I check the availability of their back catalog. And if it's rare, expensive, or OOP, I decide to pass. However, now that they've released these two Reforged albums "Riding on Fire" (2017) and "Ironbound" (2022) I'm seriously thinking about buying up their catalog. I think it's like 8 albums going back to Megatopolis 2.0. But from what I've heard so far, they're kinda like a cross between Primal Fear and Gamma Ray in terms of music style and lyrical themes respectively.

They are my favorite power metal band. I think they aren't as well known since they're music has a theme of telling a story and if you don't listen to all the albums and follow the story some songs are hard to understand, though they have plenty of songs that are unrelated to the story all their albums are attached to, including one of my favorites their cover of judas preist's electric eye which I feel they did better than Judas Priest though it is however the listener feels which is unique to each person.
