Biggest note I get from this is a powdery dusty talc effect, refreshing and clean, but somehow dusty, minty, dried wood and peppery pollen in a forest. Really love it. Feels totally different than other stuff I have.
i blind bought it because of the positive comments on the net about it being a nice long lasting barbershop smell. I hoped it would be more citrus and neroli -ish (Im a big AdP Fan) I tested Dunhill lately, since I just had bought a Bottle of Dunhill Pursuit. And the Pursuit had really surprised me positively..other than the ICON
Dunhill Icon is one of my favorite gragrances that I own. It was one of the fragrances ehich when I first smelled it in the shop, I decided without any second thought to buy it. It remindes me Terr D' Hermes but I think this is more complicated even though it is cheaper. Anyway, it is a PERFECT VALUE FOR MONEY! Thanks Aaron for the review!
It's nice for the office. To me something in there gives it a sort of "grape soda" vibe that reminds me of the vibe from poison cologne for women from long ago.

Your honesty is refreshing, and your knowledge is obvious the only thing that I could say on the negative side is that you spend more time talking about what the fragrance is not then what the fragrance is. It is not real good it is not real neroli it is not real bergamot. So when all is said and done, you don't really have a sense of what this fragrance smells like. I tried a sample of this yesterday and, while I like it, I couldn't wear it. It smells like my scent memory of my dad getting ready for church. It's a combination of hot oil V05, Barbasol shave cream and Calvin Klein Obsession. I like the smell, but I would feel the full force of imposter syndrome if I wore it anywhere. It was nice to have such a visceral punch of memories of my dad though.
Unless I had received a dodgy bottle I really don't understand the hype around this one, on of my most disappointing fragrance purchases, both in terms of scent and performance. Didn't smell off much at all tbh!?! Great presentation but I didn't need a paperweight so sent it back.
It’s a decent warmer weather option. Inoffensive and easy going but nothing special. I get a ‘Skittles’ vibe but still enjoy it. Never knew it claimed to have an Oud accord but I don’t pick up on anything of that nature. It does differ from some of the more commonly worn options and for the price (way cheaper than you mentioned) it’s a good option for the masses. I own and enjoy but won’t feel compelled to replace.
Aaron Terence Hughes I have a small bottle and it’s been untouched in the cupboard since late summer. It will get worn again though not replenished. The Haekels ‘Pegwell Bay’ I have is far more interesting to me (although may not be to your liking).
I love Virginia cedar wood burning in a fireplace during winter, it burns hotter than most wood, a dusting of cypress wood, fresh pine needles harvested in the middle of winter that still has a bit of ice crystals on them and the sweet fresh sweat of a man chopping that wood and drinking russian tea. That's a most delicious man scent to me. Can you bottle that please Aaron.

Very informative video again Aaron, I really enjoyed it. Loving the detail you give about each ingredient in every video review you do. I happened to buy Onyx from you and I’m totally in love with it, can’t stop wearing it, very addictive. Great job.
James Paterson onyx is very special to me. If I ware something on a day to day basis it’s onyx. It’s resonates and imprints on everything. I actually didn’t want to release it.
Hi Aaron, I have a question, I love the smell of the signature Indian Sandalwood but unfortunately the price is very high. Is the Icon coming close to that smell?
Absolutely pleasant video! I blind bought Dunhill Icon a while ago without checking scent notes. So it's staded there should be oud in it? Can't pick it out. And as you say, it's just pleasant.
So realistic, giving us a image of like this much oud..... thousands of dollars. As frag. Enthousiaste hits me in the face. DUNHILL ICON, love the black pepper tho... for me it s the true out the shower. This one & parfums de marly :Kalan ! Like wooww! Different quality but i love those.

Dunhill Icon is a more masculine version of Nikos Sculpture or Versace's the Dreamer. I don't understand that people call it a office scent? or even worse a signiture scent:) It's way too sweet for a office scent in my opinion and there are too many occasions in wich you can't wear this over 30.. It's flanker icon absolut in the gold bottle is actually way more suitable as an office scent, still a tad too sweet imo but atleast it has a more classy feel to it, i personally would go with Guerlain homme edp if i feel a little bold and that's safe AF:) after work no rules for me:) To me icon is a outside activity scent 2 sprays on the back of the neck and 1 on each wrist. If you wanna go office you have to make the distinction in what kind of office you work:)
Interesting. Having dunhill, sculpture and the dreamer I can see what you’re saying. I guess it does come down to personal choice though regarding the environment in which it should be worn. I personally think it could be worn in the office but equally appreciate others might decide otherwise
Enjoyed the review Aaron! I own this fragrance and I really wear it only in warm weather. I work in close proximity with people so it works well in that situation. I agree though it isn't particularly young or sexy, just nice. 🦄

The first 2 two hour sessions were ok..... But the last 2 hour session was terrible I went into shock and had to lie on the floor. He couldn't finish it. For a year after I had a cough as I think he tattooed my Adams apple. BUT.... Its my favourite one. The tattoo is a lotus. Ive my throat is a reminder to always try and let beautiful, kind words out of my mouth. Sometimes I forget to do that. But I try everyday to be the best person I can. Im getting my hand done next week. Interestingly all of my brothers and my one sister is tattooed.I actually never see the tattoos in the mirror. I like the scent but ppl tell me it smells to mature on me it’s more of a mature like 60s type of scent much older man but damn I like it
Don't let people define your tastes. It's a perfectly fine versatile fragrance that anybody could wear.
Aaron like your reviews ...would love you to try Guerlain Santal Royal 👑
Neversmeltit I must try some of that house. Thanks for reminding me.
Aaron Terence Hughes please be gentle it’s my bloody favourite 😀 ....also how can you judge it off strips when the journey on skin takes hours particularly with SR
@@poobin1 U always try to just honestly. I develop fragrance for skincare and perfume everyday. So I know whats going to happen quite quickly. It would be like a chef knowing what was in the cake by eating it.
@@AaronTerenceHughes It's a historic and highly respected house. I don't think you'll be disappointed!
This fragrance to me smells like toilet freshener. I was very excited to smell it at first, because everyone seems to like it. Didn’t work for me. Exactly what I smell: toilet air freshener.
Have you smelled dunhill racing icon? It's the worst thing I've ever bought after all the hype I took the risk and I have scents from river island and next that piss all over it .
whats your favorite fragrances?
@@malayneum ferragamo uomo signature is absolute class lasts forever . Also like Ysl Y... and another one especially for the summer is bvlgari man extreme but performance is there aswel. What about yourself?
Im wearing it now and you are right.
I just received Eau Sauvage and this in the mail today. Blind bought both and I think Eau Sauvage matches your description more than Dunhill Icon. Icon reminds me of A&D ointment.
Love the content, especially the 'final thoughts' graphic. I kinda miss the kids cheering sound effect though. Peace
Thats the video unicorn magic. I took it out as a few people said is was cringworthy. Im like a big kid so like things like that. Im one step away from a puppet show.
I’m so glad you did Aaron. Looking forward to try some more of you’re fragrances from your house.
Hi Aaron, I have a question, I love the smell of the signature Indian Sandalwood but unfortunately the price is very high. Is the Icon coming close to that smell?
To me sir, icon is a unique good scent. Keep up your good videos sir.
Thanks, will do!
Absolutely pleasant video!
I blind bought Dunhill Icon a while ago without checking scent notes. So it's staded there should be oud in it? Can't pick it out. And as you say, it's just pleasant.
Aaron is my go to now for a credible review 👍
Champion review finally someone who goes into depth... I would like to know what ur take on cartier d'un soir
Love these videos!
please aaron i am begging you. do layton from parfume de marly
I have it in one of my sample to do. But I have about 100 samples at the moment and only do three a week. ATH
@@AaronTerenceHughes 😭😭😭😭 can't wait. i love it but i have a feeling you are going kinda like it. because it is an genius mix betweens a few most used notes
Dunhill Icon is a more masculine version of Nikos Sculpture or Versace's the Dreamer.
I don't understand that people call it a office scent? or even worse a signiture scent:)
It's way too sweet for a office scent in my opinion and there are too many occasions in wich you can't wear this over 30..
It's flanker icon absolut in the gold bottle is actually way more suitable as an office scent, still a tad too sweet imo but atleast it has a more classy feel to it, i personally would go with Guerlain homme edp if i feel a little bold and that's safe AF:) after work no rules for me:)
To me icon is a outside activity scent 2 sprays on the back of the neck and 1 on each wrist.
Love the review.....love the side tangents.....so much good info.🍻❤
Enjoyed the review Aaron! I own this fragrance and I really wear it only in warm weather. I work in close proximity with people so it works well in that situation. I agree though it isn't particularly young or sexy, just nice. 🦄
Nice fair review! Love hearing the more technical side of whats going on.
Aaron! Love what you are doing with the channel. I Would love to see you review Dunhill Desire. Thank you for the content.
Jeremy fragrances office for men and date for men pleeeeassse!

This stuff smells exactly like Desitin Diaper Rash creme, its crazy but I swesr it does.
I wish I had 1/10 of his knowledge about fragrances and the structures.
What do you think of YSL la Nuit de l'homme?
Aaditya M999 I’ve no idea. Apart from these reviews I’m
Stuck with mine.
Aaron can u review CoSTUME NATIONAL Soul and Costume National Homme? im really forward to see your opinion
Love the opening of this one. Dry down is nice. Check out Joseph Abboud Black Linen. Similar DNA
I've been watching too many of your reviews. Sometimes I know what you are going to say.
But only by reading the notes, my nose is average at best.
I never knew oud was even a thing with this?! I own this but i dont think it has a character to it, its just plain and "safe" and "nice"
It’s decent... I find it calming and wear it now and then at night.
please review one of montales ouds they're extremely loud the way you like them especially black aoud
I just love listening to you . This is also a fragrance I wear and enjoy....as a woman.
Amazing. And so you should.Thank god people love what they like and don't listen to dreaded marketing. Its a lovely day fragrance suitable for everyone. ATH
Something non fragrance related.. How badly did that neck tattoo hurt?
I did it in 2 6 hour sitting on one day. I wanted it done for ages. He drew it on and I though amazing. Then as soon as he started I though, What the fuck have I done. I only see it when I look at professional photographs. .
@@AaronTerenceHughes it's beautiful sir... I've got a bunch myself so I figured I'd ask... Keep up the beautiful work.. I hope one day I get to smell some of your art! My love from Greece!
I tried to like this fragrance and just can’t, maybe it just don’t work well with my skin chemistry, because on paper it’s not bad at all.
30 euro is the price for 100ml :)
Great review mate 😊
Aaron, hi! Please make video of top ten your favourite fragrances.
Spice ? You shoud try Rehab from initio
