    I misheard the bit about the free busts and desperatelt went looking for a promotion on GW website haha What might be a cool video idea and one I'm. Interested in learning that relates to the kickstarter and that's how to make miniatures suited to that kind of lighting. Most commonly people paint from the top right down as the light source but does that effect the way it looks when illuminated in different directions or omnidirectionally.
    Also another id be interested in learning is how to shade using colour rather than a darker version of the midtone like Spanish painters are known to do or using inks to tint zones. Sorry if these both get discussed in the video as I'm at the start.
    Keep up good work. You were nice to me on another video so you've got yourself a fan. I took your advice when you said to try a 3 for bigger areas but still having a point and you were correct, it's been fun so far. Maybe even a brush care video including all the different potential steps with suggestions of shampoo, conditioner, deep clean etc plus brush tip care tips

      I use the AP speedpaints as well. You'd probably need to work a bit faster considering they don't reactivate the way the contrast paints do. Do you spray the texture pallet just to have a uniform colour to work from and to show up better on camera? Or does spraying it do sometimes else, like reduce absorption and make paint on it last longer? I haven't sprayed mine yet and I'm wondering if I should.
    It was interesting what you said about not using tissue for drybrushing. Years ago I used to use a wooden lid from my paint box and more recently using tissue I always remembered it working better in the past. It's the reason I bought a texture pallette and it's good to hear there was an actual reason and it wasn't just all in my head!

    • @ArtisOpus
      @ArtisOpus  Год назад +1

      Great questions, and great assumptions! Spot on on all accounts.
      There's more bonuses, to priming the palette, too!
      Black is the primer I use: my tests need to be as close on palette as they are on model- so identical is best!
      It's easier for focus, too, nice on the eyes, means you an work under softer light, good all round.
      If paints cover my black palette well, then they will do so for my model, if I am after coverage it's helpful... Again, all about testing and screwing up and learning on the palette, hopefully not on the mini :)
