Supporting FIFO families

Telethon Kids Institute will join forces with Pilbara Minerals to establish a groundbreaking research initiative aimed at improving the mental health and wellbeing of fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) workers and their families.

The three-year partnership will provide a comprehensive examination of the impact of FIFO work arrangements on the mental health and wellbeing of the entire FIFO family, including the employees, their partners, and children.
Insights gained from this research will help inform the development and implementation of a targeted whole-of-family program to support FIFO families and their mental health.
