Neline , on some given days , In your line of work , are their more days that are special , "therapy ", so of work , maybe calves , new born baby goats , or even your horses ? You are a natural, the love you have for animals is outstanding " ! Stay the coarse , Rock on , stay safe , enjoy & have fun !
I've noted that dairy goats do the same reflex when their teats are initially handled at each milking session. I just assumed it was a natural letdown spasm with the udder being touched. Regular weight shifting limb movements seem a lot less drastic than the milk reaction ones. Just my two cents since I don't own any cows - pet ones or otherwise.
I enjoy your personal approach to this work. I like Jan's approach, too. I'm an old gearjammer with millions of miles coast-to-coast down in the U.S. So, I love his coverage of the mechanical, machinery, mechanism stuff. But his work is incomplete without you and Mirjam (and Dad and Mom, of course). I hope you all keep this going. There are so many people trying to produce this type of RUclips content, but nobody hits all the right notes as you folks do. Tell Jan. I'm too lazy to type this all again.
Hi Neline. Moo Cow inner dialogue ..." Oh No, she's got that camera out again, filming us !! Ok, just look MOOVULOUS !!!" Aw, the Little Moos are adorable !! I guess someone needs to design a Moovulous "Fidget Widget" for the parlor girls !!! Montreal had snow on Christmas, but it has rained ever since, and now the ground is wet, cold, and barren. More snow to come on Wednesday !! Happy New Year from Montreal.
Happy New Year, Neline! You know... I always figured that the reason the ladies got tippy tappy is because it tickles. lol :) I find it charming when they do that. And look at Pumpkin! She really does a tap dance. :) Cows are curious and funny and they have their personalities for sure. Your channel has taught me that. :) Thanks for all the wonderful content in 2024 and may 2025 bring you continued success, happiness, joy, peace, and lots of happy and healthy goats. :) Give Rookie and Whimsy scratches for me. :)
Another great video, I have to compliment you on your videos. Your spotlighting of your animals takes your videos to a more personalized place. Even for someone who has lived the life in the past. You might want to explain the ratings, good, excellent etc and why. I only vaguely remember, but it’s an interesting fact.
Thanks for the video, like watching the cows checking out the camera. As to milk dispenser, did you check whether the cable connection on the other end is firmly seated in the controller? I have solved a great many problems by pushing on a connector.
I have always wondered why they rock back and forth in the parlour, thanks for clarifying that. Silly question but did those cute little calves get any Alfalfa cookies with their milk Christmas morning? I bet they have all been good.
You'd probably laugh about the "really cold" that is tentatively predicted for us 2 weekends from now: 19°F and possibly a little snow. For us, that is REALLY COLD. We average probably 2 nights of hard freeze per winter, still usually staying in the 20s. And snow is very rare, maybe once a decade.
Please don’t get mad but I like to see more about your farm and goats and the process of growing the farm and redoing the barn and corals I see more of the cows on your brother RUclips channel. So beginning of the new year can you do more about your goats and the horses and how they are doing
Videos with the goats are less because I have less time to work with them, and the renovations of the barn come as we can pay for supplies 😆. I make videos of my day to day life, and the reality is simply: I work full time at the dairy, so that’s why it’s the majority of the content. There will be more goat focused videos come February and March, so don’t worry too much! Thank you for following along ☺️.
In case they lose one! Gives us a bit more insurance that we will always be able to identify each one. Even I can’t recognize every single bovine on the farm 😂

Loved the little steer with the two spots on his head. And the reds are gorgeous.
Happy New year , stay safe & enjoy !
Happy new year to you and your loved ones 🐄🐄🐐🐐🎉
Happy New Year to you too! 🎉
Thank you I really enjoyed that video today very interesting and I hope you and your family have a very happy fun New Year's Eve and a Happy New Year

Could it be that the reason your ladies are Tippy Tappy are cold Hands? Happy New Year 😅

2415 is by far the most gorgeous calf from this year for me ❤
I also wonder when they are tippy tippy if it’s the tickle on their legs from getting touched to get ready for the milker
My thought too.
Happy New Years to you and your family
Nothing cuter than a baby calf.
Happy New Year! A great answer.
Cows look great

Great Video!
Cute little critters.
Happy New Year to you and your family
Happy New Year
❤ from Norway
Godt nyttår til deg og din familie
Short tail short tail ugh long tail long tail lol. Happy New Year 🎉🎉Stay warm ❤️🙏🏼🎉
you can see the difference the groomed tails make
Great videos! Question, why do some calves have low numbers on their ears and some have numbers in the 2 thousands?
Lower numbers (red colours) are for the steer calves, higher numbers (white colour) are the heifers.
Keep the great videos coming. Wishing you the very best for the New Year. From the state of Virginia.
I always figured the cow was getting a tingly feeling from the udder letting the milk down. Like when you breast feed a baby.
Gelukkig nieuwjaar voor jou en je familie!
Just noticed that some calves have 3 digit ear tags and some have 4. Wondering why? 349 on 1 vs 2440 on another?
Thanks for the video, like watching the cows checking out the camera. As to milk dispenser, did you check whether the cable connection on the other end is firmly seated in the controller? I have solved a great many problems by pushing on a connector.
love red heifers
I have always wondered why they rock back and forth in the parlour, thanks for clarifying that. Silly question but did those cute little calves get any Alfalfa cookies with their milk Christmas morning? I bet they have all been good.
how much milk do the calves get on a daily bases i know age make a difference

Happy New Year guys all the best take care thanks
Question: why do some of the calves get the bottle to drink from and the others drink from a bucket?
Learning curve.... Takes a few days to a week or so for newborns to learn to drink from a bucket. Depends on the individual.
Dad always said they are help to let the milk down
For some, maybe. Our cleaning and stripping of the udders also helps with milk let down. Some cows truly just can’t stand still though!
Prettige jaarwisseling, maakt je moeder nog oliebollen

Congrats on getting Luna to the trainer, Neline. Will she be rideable by summer?... Maybe?
She should be rideable when she comes back!
@@ADairyonthePrairie 👍
they are just ticklish
whats going on with @saskdutchkid
267 is a tank of a cow😊
She is! Her name is Josette, always a sweetheart in the barn and in the parlour 😆.
Some days of work it should say , sorry .
👍👍❤🐄😼
All dairy channels I watch have cows reacting a bit to receivers put on their udders. Just saying.
ticklish?
Why do the cows have 2 tags with the same numbers on them?
In case they lose one! Gives us a bit more insurance that we will always be able to identify each one. Even I can’t recognize every single bovine on the farm 😂
What happened to your brother
And i just thought all that movement was from cold hands.
Happy New Year
