what if my phone and the smart plug are connected to the same local network (wifi) but not connected to internet? Can the smart plug still be controlled from the phone?
@@xptodundee I think that's correct (at least the P110 can, not sure about the P115),and I did find the button in the end. The button for energy consumption is not that obvious to find, but I finally found it.
something just happend to me last night i used to put this tapo with the router plug so last night i lose electricity for a while and then after it comes back i didnt had the possibility to turn on my tapo cause i needed to press the on botton on the tapo cause i were out home there is any possibility to make it turn on by defaut when it plug in the electricity sector
Away mode is unclear to me. During the set period of time, will the plug turn on and off once or multiple times at a random time? And if multiple, how long will it stay on?
а днях купил TAPO-100, и обнаружил, что для её работы нужен интернет, иначе приложение в локальной сети без связи с сервером не работает, даже пароль не помнит. Это значит, что в случае отсутствия интернета и наличия только локальной сети приложение работать не будет. При покупке я рассчитывал на возможность работы в локальной независимо от наличия интернета. Но ожидание не оправдалось, более того, владельцы сервера имеют возможность сбора информации об использовании мною розетки, а имея пароль могут вмешаться в работу устройства, перехватить его управление. Таким образом для ответственных потребителей изделия данной фирмы использовать рискованно, так как даже продав мне своё изделие они остаются его совладельцами.

It's also supposed to monitor energy consumption somewhere. That's what the official website says. But I can't find that button or tab anywhere.
I read somewhere that only P110 and P115 support that feature buddy.

what is the internet speed give it , are make a test with your router?

Yes, you can turn the smart plug on or off far away from your house using mobile data.
How about to turn off the plug at the time when you wake up, and turn on like 4 hours before. So you will always have 100% every morning ^^
Yes sure why not,you can do and that,but honestly i don't loose % is 98% at the morning not a big deal.
