You can tell that every character was traumatized by season 1's method of putting up the title card. All of the characters, the heroes, the villains, the ordinary humans are all walking on eggshells and tip toeing on mentioning his name. They hesitate and are careful not to mention his name so loosely. I think they figured out that if you pause for a bit before mentioning the word, the title card won't appear spontaneously pausing their entire universe and freezing everybody for a couple of seconds. They figured out how to defeat this villainous title card.

It was only when the first guy who DIDN'T pause to say his name (because he was already screaming his heart out too much to pause) who fell for the horror of the Title Card interupt.

the fact people canonically pause before saying his name as if they're unsure if it's going to be a title card or let them carry on talking is the funniest thing of this first episode.

@@BaconNuke if anything, they probably had the actors finish the sentence then cut "invincible" out in post. flows more naturally that way

THIS is how you hook an audience! They knew that we were waiting for it, and that just made Levy’s line so much more impactful. They did it at comedic times last season but this made it so much more intense!
Levy's line was also impeccably delivered on its own as well! I felt so pumped by the end lol
The fact that they did it FIVE TIMES without it coming off as annoying has me amazed

In my opinion it stopped being funny after the second time. Since they kept reusing the same joke over and over again and it felt forced. Levy’s was good though and I like how the Maulers said it since it didn’t feel forced in the scene.

This actually gave me a headache throughout the whole episode, then my brain finally felt relief at the end once they showed the title card
I bet season 3s title card will appear under the cracks, a blue background and black lettering, for invincible second suit
That's exactly what they are doing. And probably setting up the Invincible war. Unless they somehow manage to cram it in this season, which would be insane.

I love how each instance is really cheesy and whatever until the very last line, where the title card actually drops on probably the rawest damn line delivery in the entire episode
Levy's delivery is so well done, can't wait to see him as a villain in the 2nd half. Especially now that we've seen how strong Mark can be when accepting his nature as a Viltrumite.
The scene wasn’t dramatic enough until the end to warrant the title card.

It’s things like this where u can tell the people working on this project WANT to work on this project. Something lacking with marvel rn
I don't think Marvel is struggling because the team doesn't want to work on the projects. I think the executives are simply greenlighting too many projects, so everyone's spread thin and the quality of the individual projects is suffering for it.
This is the kind of self aware humor I love

Is season 1 with each episode it got more and more bloody but in season 2 it becomes fully bloody and starts cracking,i love that attention to detail

i think the title card being at the very end with Angstrom’s tweak out was the perfect way to do it.
Someone should make an edit of the episode to have the title card in place of each time they say it

Love how all these pauses imply that the VA for Angstrom also had to make a pause during that final emotional scene
I like to imagine the pause is them waiting for the title card, but when they realise it isn't coming, they just awkwardly finish their sentence.

The first one was good because it tells the audience that this wasn't our Invincible. The other fake outs, I felt, were unnecessary.

These are all S 2 EP 1 all of the episodes do a different way for the title card
They did it so many times the title card had to hold in a whole seasons worth of blood and ruptured the tank.
Watching this episode was like waiting for a sneeze to come out, but it just wouldn't happen.
Imagine this is exactly how they said it every time in the first season too
this makes sense considering that in first episode of season one title card was at the end
Now do an edit where you ADD title cards to these fake-outs!
