I live in Oregon! I love rain 🌧️ the smell of rain is my favorite and I also enjoy the sound so I always have a window open or the slider and be in a blanket with a book. So I get the smell and sound :) i know it can be depressing but you have to change your mindset. For me rain washes away all the bad.

I love your flip videos and seeing the pages all full and lived in after the set ups. I'm from the Northwest, but I feel like I'm the odd duck. I actually love the gloomy and dreary days. There's something so cozy about it.

As a mom who struggled with anxiety and just got diagnosed with ADHD last year in my 40s…Thank you for putting all these thoughts out there…really resonated with me and made me feel seen…oh! And I have migraines too 🤣

Seattle here! We call winter The Big Dark because not only is it cloudy but it gets dark SUPER early (but in summer it's light outside until about 10 pm!). Lots of people use UV lights, take vitamin D supplements, and get outside anytime the sun peeks out. We also have a lot of days where the cloud ceiling is really high, so it's still quite bright. I'm really light sensitive (yay AuDHD and chronic illness!) so I actually really love it. Also it's green all year long and we don't get much snow or ice - and when we do, everything shuts down.

Oh also! You 100% have ADHD - I say this out loud every time you wonder (I mostly watch on my TV so I don't comment often, except out loud like I'm watching football). Spencer too! Neurodivergence is SO hereditary, if (at least) one kid has it, a closely related adult almost certainly does too!

Oh yeah that’s rough I can see why it’s called that. Yes I added vitamin D for all of us. Gets dark too early here too for what seems like forever.

Yeah I’m pretty convinced myself. 😂 It feels good to finally understand myself better. 💕

My son came to graduate school in the Pacific Northwest and he had to use sunlamps because he was used to the gulf South

You actually sound like me and I do have ADHD at least for focus, when I don’t have anything scheduled for the day I tend to set timer every 30 minutes or an hour just so that I know about how much time has passed and how much time I have left to get some thing done. 😂 Maybe its because I’m an SLP and I’m used to doing things in 30-60 minute blocks - LOL
