Nice score... I sold one of those peacock fans for $225 a few years ago... My first bike resembled the one you saw... Not sure if that one had balloon tires but mine did....and a big ole seat... I would put a blanket in the basket and my dog would go everywhere I did... :) Woodstove was an excellent price...People our way are always looking for those types...
My grandbaby is sick so I missed this yesterday..caught ya this morning tho! Love the old stove too, Rob! My two favorite Barons make my mornings!

Thanks Rob for using the hand sanitizer. That virus is like glue stuck on surfaces (stores). The winter is ideal for it living even longer- 24+ hours.They have stopped cleaning these stores in the US with any frequency like they use to. Just that hand sanitizer would cut the transmission substantially if we would just start using it when we get in the car every time, especially before removing your mask, wipe down door handles, steering wheels, and Cell phones. No sanitizer, then rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle kills the virus. You guys are great!
I have baggies in care with baby wipes and sanitizer and do same, hands, door handles in and out. At gas stations we use gloves and touch nothing. High but small tourist town!
@@lyricwritertoo I don’t go to any store that doesn’t provide hand sanitizer or a disinfectant. I clean the cart handles, because they aren’t doing that anymore. I use sanitizing stations in the store, and I exit using their sanitizer. I repeat the hand sanitizer in the car before removing the mask. I don’t stay in any store for any longer than 15-20 minutes. Sadly, in the store there is hardly anyone but myself using the sanitizer. We are making a big mistake relying on the mask by itself. The mask IS saving lives tremendously! The less virus that is transferred to the eyes, nose, and mouth, the better your chances of surviving an infection. I still view every person I encounter as a spreader. You aren’t getting near me. I am high risk and taking huge risks for essentials anyway. Thanks for taking steps to protect yourself and others. Now that is what I call American.
Hi Kids, Whoo Hoo, antiques!!! I'm with you Rob, I would have strapped the stove to my back & walked it home, oh, the crome on that thing, soooo neat! Really liked all your finds, unique stuff! Got my fix for the day, now back to the mundane. Take care, my best.
I think the clear stuff in the doors that Rob called mica was actually called 'isinglass' when it was used in a heated environment, it was thicker than another thinner version known as mica which was used for decoration requirements only....and no heat was involved...like glitter on the really old christmas ornaments and the roofs of the little German 'putz' houses that made villages under the old german christmas trees sparkle so. It was a cool old stove, wasn't it?!
Blumchen (sp?) German Christmas Company is a really neat old time Christmas supply house that has repro ornaments and craft supplies... you can refer to their online catalog and learn more about the old Christmas things. They are online and you can order a catalog. Karen has found some really neat cardboard Christmas wall hangings made in the old German/Dutch styles....Blumchen makes the repros of Karen's originals and they are not inexpensive! Ha Ha!

You're exactly right Penny!! They put isinglass in buggies & such, way back when, so you could see out. I have a sadiron heater with isinglass in it.

Hi Rob and Karen. I have a hard time resisting those metal Bandaid boxes too. The other day, I needed a bandage and got one out of it. It was so old that it had the red thread that you pulled to open the bandage wrapper. That took me back to my childhood! (I had mercurochrome put on my boo-boos too! We called it monkey blood.)

I put a old stove like that on my covered patio, we restored it, then we chimneyed it out the roof and do small wood fires in it on chilly nights. much more true to our old Victorian home than a modern firepit. we then throw the ashes into the flower beds for slugs and snails.
How does it work for heat being not in a closed room. We moved rural ranch that people all have stoves but often nice old one comes up. And wondered if we put on patio, or out in the large yard we gained if worth it to use for wood burning.
People are taking old metal bed headboards and making gates for their garden out of them. Some are beautiful! No one really needs twin size beds anymore!

Hi Debbie!! Oh boy that would be a pretty tall order... This was filmed in 2019 and we don't know these people, and I', not even sure we would remember or have a record anymore of the address... I can take a look but I doubt we have a way to get back in touch other than if they have another sale this year...

Rob, how often do you find something that you like that much? Never. Seriously, go back and secure the purchase. Figure out where you want it to go at your place, a spot where you would never need to have it moved again. Hire a licensed and bonded company to put it right on that spot. If it breaks or cracks, it is on them. You know you want to; I can hear it in your voice. Absolutely, it would be a chunk of change, but that is okay because it is not my money. I would hate to see you regret not getting it. Pull the trigger; life's too short.
It absolutely drives me crazy how he rubs the hand sanitizer into his hands.
