Tru3 you have to use Trail of Torment immediately after activating your power so you can sprint and catch them off-guard. If you don't do that you're just a normal M1 killer with Trail, nothing special.
Oni is never a m1 killer

Dude, the whole point of this build is that Nowhere To Hide has the radius around you, not the gen you kicked, so the correct steps are:
1. Activate your power
2. Kick a gen (thus activating Nowhere to Hide and Trail
3. Start dashing immediately and bringin the aura reading with you while you dash and are undetectable.
Otherwise the build just doesn't work.
The power of this build is that you are an undetectable dashing instadown demon with wallhacks while dashing.
Also the point of Lethal is that when you clip somebody with your NtH aura, it shows them for another 7 seconds.

Kinda played it wrong otz located 2 people with lethal at the beginning of the match to get his power then approach the gen facing more towards them then popped his power instantly saw them they didn’t hear his terror radius they didn’t know he was coming he just get insta downs because the new perk follows your radius for a lil and lethal extended the aura reading the survivor have no reaction to the radius not saying it’s good plus he got a better map for it but fun build for oni if anything id trade oppression trail is supposed to work with the knight perk so they cannot react but you can see them a better version would probably be with dragons grip this make them not want to touch the gen
he always plays build requests wrong because he only knows one playstyle: efficiency (camp and tunnel)

@@joshcarr_ I said he played it not how it was ment the other guy got a better map so you could say it’s nit picking but I think he probably killed them faster if he saw him watched more close to how the build is played instead of slapping it on expecting it to work for him
We know the devs wont give trail of torment everything, so i’d be happy with people within 28-32 meters of the gen not being able to see the gen aura. That would give the killer just a little more time to get the build to work, players near the gen would not get immediately switched on, and would need to rely on teammates telling them “oh wait, he has Trail of Torment!” At least it would be a little trickier to figure out.
i love how tru3 plays the killers normally when doing these builds :P
I’m not on either side but I can definitely see that he did not adapt his play style at all the the perks. Even the way he is talking about the perks/build is a clear example of that. If he had spent a little bit more time trying to understand the build then constantly coming from a place of negativity and doubt it probably would of played out a little better.
Sad part is he actually won this game and was complaining the entire time about how it wouldn’t work. Just shows that he has some growth to make as a person and sadly the game/community isn’t making easier for him at all.
I believe Otz and True are playing at a very very high level. Where one is looking to have fun and create different play styles the other is only looking at DBD through a critical angle 24/7.

Sweet build but no gen slowdown for an m1 killer that's power is dependant on whether survivors make it easier for you to get value, E.G staying injured or not pre dropping every pallet in chase, is just not applicable in the higher ranks. It's an unfortunate truth, but it is the way it is. I saw Zeb89 try a more competitive build for Oni which I believe was Pain Resonance, Deadlock, Awakened Awareness and No Way Out. Might be good to try out if you see this comment, thanks for the entertaining content as always Tru3.
EDIT: ( I understanding that this is Otzdarva's build and Tru3 was just trying it, my comment was more directed at Otz than Tru3 ).
The real question is why do we continue to play this game when we know Behavior is out to help survivors and punish killers… I feel a massive killer strike would wake they’re asses up.

I've been saying this for a while but apparently people don't feel the same way despite always saying that survivors get spoon fed so idk what they expect to happen if they're not willing to do or say anything about it 🤷🏼

its obvious they might orient for survivors because there are literally more of them and orienting for killers would lead to dead online.
And as a killer main i could honestly tell you to stop crying, since they nerfed ds and dead hard, and new meta of boons is not that frustrating and unfair.
It might be stupid meta for low-tier killers (which sometimes are forced to leave survivors due to long chase and then these survs heal in 8sec), but good killers (who end chases more or less fast, aka nurse spirt) dont care much about boons.
@@rodriguez4809 As a survivor main I could honestly tell you to stop being so disingenuous, cause the game wouldn't be dead just because a couple of entitled players leave when things don't go their way, aka game getting balanced as it should for the **two** roles that are available to play as. No serious game balances towards one role alone no matter how many more players chose it. That's terrible game development and the reason this game is in this state.
Plus literally nobody mentioned boons in this thread so I don't know what you are on about. Also boons aren't the biggest of issues in regards of survivors strongest perks. OTR is. It's even arguably stronger than old DS was, so it's definitely more frustrating and unfair. Meta hasn't changed. Just the perks that make it broken. And every killer is affected by quick heals regardless of their tier. You might get one down as Nurse but rest assured the others are healing somewhere else while you chase that one so all pressure is gone in a few seconds. I'm not even going to argue about Spirit cause people still considering her as a high tier is laughable.

It's weird how every time you try a build from another streamer you don't play it the way its supposed to be played and complain some of the perks don't work at higher levels.

Another content creators build played entirely wrong as intended. I'm all for comparing certain builds against different opponents, in belief that there's a radical difference in mmr, which is worth the debate but it's not possible to actually have an accurate outcome if you don't synergize your playstyle with said build.
Pretty disappointing and yes I've seen Coconut's, Otz's and Tru's videos to compare, I don't think a radical difference in survivors is the problem here if we're all being honest here.

The matches by Otz were extremely different not because of gameplay but by simple RNG and survivor play.
The LF match shouldn’t be commented on, those survivors didn’t even trying letting him get multi down with the chainsaw. As for the Oni match, compare Otz’s match to Tru3’s 3 gens in 3 minutes (which isn’t even a gen speedrun).
I don’t hate Otz, been watching him since Souls. But I do hate the community/cult of mindless worshippers he got. A dev stream of gameplay going from less than 1K views to around 5K when he commentates, or the chat always blaming the survivors/game itself when an outcome depended on the killer side.
I’ll rather forget this comment section tbh.
Until we get some sort of visible rank system based on the sbmmr we have now, people will always wrongly compare players skill level, especially those of content creators. Most people can't tell the difference between a decent survivor and a top percent one. They base the killer's skill level on the match results which is skewed af lol

I swapped Oppression for Eruption with Bubba and it's terrifying, especially with a 3 Gen. Indoor maps make it painful for survivors.
Fearmonger inflicts blindness so in theory shouldn't this be able to hide the yellow aura of Trails? If it doesn't then my god trails is horrible.
it hides it for as long the survivor is actively doing a gen, and after 5 seconds of letting go of the gen the blindness wears off
No the blindness of fearmonger only last for like 5 seconds after they stop doing a gen

I like the idea of no where to hide on Oni, but I prefer slowdown perks that don’t require me to kick gens (GoP and pain res).
The fourth slot is optional. Otz used mindbreaker and oppression there

It really only needs one issue with it, not two. Idk what the devs were thinking. Nobody runs Trail except to do this build.

Did Otz run Oppression? I don’t remember him running that. I don’t see the synergy with Oppression with anything else in this build, but I thought there was some synergy in his entire build. May have been Brine? Not sure. But you played it differently than he did also, so results will vary 😂
He did use oppression in one of the 2 games
The synergy is that you kick a gen and if you dont see anyone with the Darkness, Opression is your saving grace in hope you get lucky and a survivor misses the Opression skillcheck, so you know where to run and dont waste your ability.
I think Infectious for Lethal would be better. The extra 2sec of aura is not worth at all and you can use Darkness if you find a gen that has been worked on. Not as quick getting into a chase but Oni and Infectious are just a match made in heaven.

Because the only builds that are good are full meta 4 slowdown. Ive stopped even trying to make quirky builds that compliment killer powers, 4 slowdown is always better
because you need to go against less skilled players, and also have 5000+ hours of knowledge in the game

Hey maybe try looking at your power gauge every once in a while. Multiple times you could have had an instadown when a healthy survivor tried body blocking for an injured one and you're power was 99%.
Now u have to try the same with Bubba pls.

After watching True long enough I see now that he can only play one way (the true way). He is just not capable of playing like other streamers.
should have activated ability right after 1st unhook and rushed back then played it by ear. i dont know why you held ability so long into the match. made yourself a m1 killer for 2 gens for no reason at all
also activated power without kicking gen. just new to the build i believe but it is a good build
arguably trial giving a gen a yellow aura if not a knower a survivor may think its blast mine
