Hey, thanks. Lots of fun, but takes a lot of research.

4 Lane Route 66 , hmm so basically back then no safety glass , GPS, Concrete "Jersey" barriers or Air bags but they just trusted you to stay on your own side of the road and not be idiots??? Incredible!!! I bet people even turned off their high beams to oncoming traffic back then???
10:54 that dirt road heading south was (briefly) the original 1926 Route 66. About a quarter mile south it made a 90 degree right turn and ran due west. 20:36 alignment veering left was paved in 1930s but after 66 was re-aligned in 1952 it became county road and was reverted back to gravel for lower maintenance costs.
This is the best, most informative video about Glenrio. Thank you Sir. Im working on my own video about Glenrio, and you are a wealth of knowledge. #swervyfam
Wow, thanks for the very nice remarks. I wish a lot of the older buildings were restored or left up, but I guess they have to tear them down for the local pot dispensaries. This is happening a lot in New Mexico along Route 66. I hope you can build on my stuff and create an even more updated and fun video on your trip to Glenrio.
Great to see the old photos
Great, information. I hope it is all written down somewhere, it would make an enjoyable book.
@@michaelmiguelbernal72 i think it’s just a bunch of stories and tribal knowledge and photographs. But, you’re right.
The curving on the diner is called art deco
Isn’t it pretty much the same except a little more curve-like with art moderne style?
thanks for the great videio
Glad you liked it!
