I find it hilarious that bootlegs are easier to get than the actual Hasbro branded figure. This one was announced way back in early 2021 as a Walgreens exclusive here in the States (yep, it never ceases to amaze me how a pharmacy gets exclusive Star Wars figures….🤦🏻♂️) and to this day it never exists. All that jive aside, another fun to watch customization. Thanks for filming and sharing your skills with us!
I remember that day refreshing on Walgreens website for like 2 and a half hours straight before I said fuck it. I don't even want it now.
Looks good. I think they'd look better weathered up a bit, but to each his own.
I'm in England and the official 212th has only just become available in the last month or two but It's stupidly expensive. So I bought the Ali Express 212th and 501st (which Hasbro only did on the old clone body), and am delighted with both. Even with shipping and tax these are cheaper and you can actually het them.
back in the day, you could buy vintage figures anywhere. Hardware stores, gas stations, drug stores. So it never begins to amaze me that you can buy some at Walgreens.
That black line on the helmet makes a huge difference to the figures.
Yeah they look strange without! it just finishes it and so simple
Nice work Centurions Corner. I painted the three yellow sections on the front of the belt, extended the helmet design and painted the black brow.
I kept the worn look but added a dirty wash to bring out the detail. I like your cleaner version too.
I know there's another Clone Battalion that has the same markings as this bit in green. I really hope Ali Express release a Clone in that colour and Mace Windu's purple emblazoned troops, which have the Shocktrooper design.🙂
Not a criticism but is there a reason you didn't go over the orange that's already there so it's all the one shade? Planning to do this upgrade myself
