I did, before my therapy. Strongly suggest the books my psychologist recommended to me, which are _Reinventing Your Life_ by Jeffrey E Young and _The Happiness Trap_ by Russ Harris. Both authors are renowned psychologists who elaborated actual, studied and professionally used therapies (schema therapy and ACT). This is nothing like "self-help" books, it's literally vulgarized science, written in a clear, comprehensive way.
I feel like I am definitely different, and my values have changed, interests found, and opinions advanced. However, I have not yet lost sight of what I am living for. Purpose is relative. It is up to the individual to decide what their individual purpose in life is. However, ultimately, life has no purpose. Life could have never existed, life was just millions of circumstances lining up at the right time and place. Life was and is a fluke. Nothing is on purpose. There is no sentience behind the universe. Everything happens the way it happens, and there is no stopping it. You can't stop the future, anything that will happen is going to happen. But as an individual, you can decide what you want that future to be for yourself. You decide your future, and if you don't know where to go, nobody will ever know the way like you. You just need to try your best to make up a purpose for yourself. Ultimately, everything is insignificant. Eventually, everything in this universe will return to the nothing it came from. But until then, we can have a little fun, can't we? Creating purpose is my favorite passtime. Pass the time until the inevitable heat death of the universe by finding something to make you happy, something interesting, something to make you feel proud of yourself. Because when the last black holes in this expansive nothing eventually evaporate, at least you will have made something of yourself. You will have been happy, because you will have found purpose. A non-existent gift, from yourself, to yourself. Look forward to a future that you will find happiness in knowing.

Out of all the creatures on earth we are the only ones that have the ability to commit suicide. In an eat or be eaten world where most living things can only think about survival we are different. We have something more important than living. In the bottom of our hearts we all have something we want more than our own survival. I guess humans aren't just clumps of flesh like they are made out to be. Maybe there is more to life than we or they previously thought. Maybe we truly do have souls that are eternal. Even God does not have this ability. Is there any meaning to life if death doesn't exist. I wonder if God's alright, is he happy up there. Is being invincible everything he hoped it would be? Even slaves have the illusion of freedom. How does God feel with all that knowledge. It must be boring that there's no mystery or surprises. We all think of God as some powerful omnipotent being but what if he's suffering just as much as we are. After all we are all made in his image.

you act like we are special but we aren't. suicide is the product of many variables, one person may do it for one reason, the other might do it for a different reason. but most of all. humans can understand abstract concepts like money, we are not inherently special, we are the product of random chance. the meaninglessness of said existence bothers some people, while others dont. there is no god. and if he does exist, why would he have emotions(which are chemicals) if god is omnipresent and without form? if anything he is a cold, machine with no emotions
thoughts are energy. They exist. If something is in your mind. It is also in your heart. If something exist internally, it also exist externally and vice versa, as above so below. Every lie has truth in it and every myth was once based on a fact. Santa clause may not be real but Saint Nicholas certainly was. I guess that's why they say you aren't dead untill you're forgotten. As long as you can think of someone they still exist, even if they now live underground.
