No beige seats for us in the UK because we'd spill our tea on it. Made me laugh out loud. I really enjoy your reviews, very informative and a little light hearted. Don't change.
Just got one of these in metallic charcoal grey (or whatever it’s called), those taillights are my favorite exterior feature because it differentiates it from pre-LCI
@@batmanRBC did they finally get their head out of their asses and put remote engine start now? Smh an x3 m40i was my dream car but some idiot decided its fine to not have remote start on a luxury SUV. Ended up getting an x5 instead...
Really Thomas, spill our tea!!! 😂 Wahrscheinlich nicht, eher wie Rotwein! I prefer light colour interiors, but dye transfer from Jeans can be a problem. Interior of X3 now brought up to date and all the better for it.
Got mine three weeks ago in metallic charcoal grey with M Sport edition and 20 inch bi color wheels. I’m so happy! Congrats on yours btw. Also looking to find an excuse to drive more.
The masterpiece of BMW presents the New BMW X3 Facelift with an amazing exterior and interior. Its advanced technological features will certainly satisfy its customers.
Also in comfort mode it can shows the rev counter you just have to go to car and then display, there you can set up what you want the car to show on the right part of the screen. I know this because I literally hate to not see the rev counter while driving
never minding the designed exhausts, look beautiful. great review as always and love the shots in the dark with the lights.. its the best lighting for cars, expresses their light design and makes a warm mood imagining the seat heating and playing our fav songs and driving.. dream
Spent a lot of time in an X3 M Sport recently whilst waiting for my M340i to be delivered. And I absolutely loved it. Never really been a fan of SUVs, but the comfort and sense of well being over a long journey were palpable. Something like an X3 M40i may be my next car. If they still make them… And true enough. I’ve had my G20 for 1300 miles. Not yet used adaptive driving mode. And fantastic to hear your new Govt. isn’t going to blanket limit the autobahns. Spent many happy years driving safely and effectively between Berlin and Munich. Hope to do it again soon 😀
Great one again Thomas. If you want to get a false speed setting, go behind a truck which has the 70, 80 and 90 speed limit labels on its back. Mine detected once the 90 limit and a few minutes later the 70 one, same truck :)

Would be good to know why when we build the x3 in the US,, it takes away the beige color option especially when adding in ventilated seats for front or heated seats in the back. Also It removes the front passenger gear lumbar with such toggles which is difficult to understand.
Thats how an interior should be. Integrated balance between the manual feel and digital provided info. That’s what makes sense, not 5 tablets on the dashboard, making the interaction with the car controls resumed to screen touch, like a thermostat…

Thanks Thomas. I've got a new X3 which I've had on order since April 2021. UK BMW Dealership informed me 1st delivery to UK will be from May 2022, with my ordered X3 LCI M40I likely to arrive June 2022. A 14 month wait for a new BMW X3. Guess it is the reality of the world currently, but frustrating to see them already with customers in USA and Europe! Would be interested on your views Thomas between Adaptive LED Headlights and Laser Headlights. Expensive option at £1500 for Laser, especially on UK roads! Long, straight Motorways, I can see the advantage, but normal UK roads with twists and turns along with road height loss or gains, make the additional distance for £1500, far less attractive, as this generation of BMW LED Adaptive Headlights, are more than adequate. It is why i have not added this option to my order. Note the X3, as alluded, in UK market no longer comes available with with phone wireless charging, rear heated seats or rear seat lowering by a button in the rear of the boot, as well as the white seats, which i would never order again anyway (Have them on my current X5 and jeans have stained the seats terribly which are impossible to clean-up and remove the staining, even with the paid for extra 'guard' protecting interior spray added from new). Thanks for a good review as always Thomas
thanks m8! Yeah, Laser is not really necessary indeed. Inductive charging pad is missing as I said due to semi-conductor shortage. Bright seats in general in the automotive industry will be possible again to use with removing stains, future is ahead: ruclips.net/video/u94YXJ72UTA/видео.html
Curious... at 11:15 of your video the seats look dark brown --- but at 11:45 (a different car) you said that color is brown. What is the official name of both seat colors?
Hi Thomas. Love your reviews. Can you (or another viewer) answer a question that my BMW salesman could not? The console “sport” button increases the drivetrain performance. Moving the shift lever to the left also does so. They feel different. What is the actual difference?
I love the professional and friendly way you present your subject matter…I have a T ROC R line 2021…but I am considering 1. BMW X3 2.0 m sport , or macan ….please advise me what you would select?….thank you…I also viewed GLC 220d
Good vid again Thomas. Car looks good, can't say the tail-lights style are exactly for me but are fine. Exhausts real 👍 Glad to see the light brown seats again as i've missed Saddle Brown. And the paint does look grey at certain angles. Very functional and neat cabin 👍 This style in & out was what I was expecting the new Active Tourer to be! They over styled that car :(
nice car and I've been waiting specifically for Autogefuhl to review it. Thanks! P.S. I'm afraid that panoramic sunroof will eventually rattle and jiggle on our crappy Massachusetts roads. No offense, but I have not seen very good quality from German pano roofs (Audis, for example). Put these two together and no no no. Plus I don't want the added weight at the top of this raised car.
I’ve got a 2013 and it’s held up well for the first year of panoramic moonroof on X3s, got a bit of noise but 2 inches of Velcro tape solved that issue super fast
Now we only get 10” screen instead of 12” in digital cockpit progressional upgrade in Canada. And side pillars are Matt now instead of glossy. Luxury is only in the name but going down in character.
I am glad they didn't put a giant screen in place of the buttons I like to see. All in on this X3!. Hopefully, the 2022 X3 Plugin becomes available in the US soon.
Great review, Thomas! I cannot choose between the 2022 x3 and the Tesla Model Y performance. I have 2 kids and we travel quite a lot around Europe, all seasons, mountain roads in all weather conditions. Besides obvious EV range considerations, I am of course attracted by the power and the size of the Model Y but I am not sure it is already mature enough to give me peace of mind for travelling in safety and comfort. Any recommendations or considerations? Many thanks!
today we got our brand new bmw x3 g01 facelift in brooklyn grau. the next options are NOT on the car and im so mad at BMW service for this: Harman kardan, the seats adjustments are manual and not electric, the bagage does not have the 2 slides nor the chrome bar. Im really dissapointed especially cause its an expensive car 65K€. you dont expect these thing on a car like this. Does anyone have any tips for me that i can do?
@@abc2cratec bmw is doing disgusting shit. mercedes has electricly operating seats. and even as an option massaging seats on the c class models. bmw doesn not have massaging seat option on the 3 series.
I think just about every part of the car design has improved except for the front end design which I think the previous version was more successful. BMW also eliminated the front fog lamps to save a few dollars! They always find ways to cut corners with too many penny pinchers on the accounting staff.
Going to order one on my company car scheme early next year but with the 30e - I wish I could order sooner. Currently drive a 530e and the power plant is more than sufficient for this model but I was wondering if the larger X3 shell and the addition of XDrive was going to impact the performance in comparison to my 5 series.
You’ve just saved my life as I was just about to buy an iX3 for my parents, so thankfully I won’t buy them the old shape now 🙏🏻👍🏻 When will the face-lifted iX3 arrive in the UK and will it still be only available as RWD or have they updated it to choose AWD 🇬🇧🧐 I’m glad you think the BMW 6 cylinder diesel is the best, as that’s the engine I’ve chosen for my Ineos Grenadier 🚙♥️
Fake exhaust tips are not "a little bit pathetic". They are "outrageous abominations of absolute patheticism"! Autogefühl police does the fine work of keeping us simple folks alert to these shenanigans.
our bmw x3 facelift with the sensatec seats has the manual adjusts instead of the electric which are supposed to be standard. also we didnt get harman kardon even tho we ordered it. also the bagage has not the chrome accents. im so mad at bmw for this
i went to my local bmw dealer and looked at these a few weeks ago, they didnt have any that were well equipped, i wanted to trade in my 2019 x3 because i wanted the newer idrive aka android auto and they tried to shaft me on my trade in.
I have a 2020 M-Sport. With the exception of the center dash area, I prefer the pre-LCI version. It looks more cohesive in my personal opinion. Still good though and I like the new seat options.
Good to see that Mazda have managed to engineer and build a vehicle that will and can compete pound for pound with the X3. BMW now have a direct competitor and this will open up the segment.
I'm torn between ordering a new X3 M40i and an x4 M50i. They're both similarly priced. I'm leaning towards the EV as I do a lot of slow traffic commuting.

For the alternative, you can either use artificial fabrics which can be made from recyclables (we have already shown a lot of vehicles that use great fabric seats from PET-bottles etc.) or more and more also from plant-based materials (like Pinatex). And even if you would create a seat completely with petroleum without a recycling share, the amount of oil being used for that is nothing in comparing just to once fueling up your car.
In practical reasons, fabric or microfibre seats are just more useful. You do not sweat in summer and it is not cold in winter. And there are also new leatherette materials available which are superior in every aspect: ruclips.net/video/u94YXJ72UTA/видео.html
Using animal skin on seats is a major issue of animal rights, human rights - and after all just of common sense what is better both for the environment and just more practical and more luxurious for the customer. We cannot change what we have bought in the past (that also counts for ourselves of course!), but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future.
How well is this a competitor for the new Lexus NX?
Lexus NX review is now here: ruclips.net/video/KaZ5LMkYA44/видео.html
Curious... at 11:15 of your video the seats look dark brown --- but at 11:45 (a different car) you said that color is brown. What is the official name of both seat colors?
11:45 is Sensatec Cognac, that's way to go. 11:15 is animal skin Mokka.
Can you get an alcantara seats for x3 same as for example 3 series? Or you can have only leather perforated seats?
I think no Alcantara, the new sensatec is very good though
Hi Thomas. Love your reviews. Can you (or another viewer) answer a question that my BMW salesman could not? The console “sport” button increases the drivetrain performance. Moving the shift lever to the left also does so. They feel different. What is the actual difference?
This car should be presented in enviromental conference in Glasgow next week under the name..... BMW the last of its kind....
Very good 👍🏻 But just… missing iDrive8 on X3 and iX3 and hesitate to place an order 🧐
Love the tea comment re the beige interior :)
😎
This paint color is wow
I love the professional and friendly way you present your subject matter…I have a T ROC R line 2021…but I am considering
Very functional and neat cabin 👍
This style in & out was what I was expecting the new Active Tourer to be! They over styled that car :(
Thanks 😊
Facelifts of X1 and X3 = no blind spot monitoring = I choose 3er
nice car and I've been waiting specifically for Autogefuhl to review it. Thanks!
P.S. I'm afraid that panoramic sunroof will eventually rattle and jiggle on our crappy Massachusetts roads. No offense, but I have not seen very good quality from German pano roofs (Audis, for example). Put these two together and no no no.
Plus I don't want the added weight at the top of this raised car.
thanks keep tuning in! Of course a fixed roof will always be "safer" !
I am very worried about rattle/noise but also worried about leaks in rainy UK.
I’ve got a 2013 and it’s held up well for the first year of panoramic moonroof on X3s, got a bit of noise but 2 inches of Velcro tape solved that issue super fast
2022 X3... how do I change my RED rear turn signals to AMBER/ORANGE...???
that depends on market regulations, in EU they are orange
Loved that M in Blue!!!
Looking Sharp Thomas 👌
Does anyone know if the X3 is compatible with remote software upgrades for example to add the front heated seats subscription?
Now we only get 10” screen instead of 12” in digital cockpit progressional upgrade in Canada. And side pillars are Matt now instead of glossy. Luxury is only in the name but going down in character.
I enjoyed watching the Video Review. The Paint Colour Is definitely Grey
Hi Thomas, does the steering wheel in this new version still "loose" like in the old one? Thanks
Please can you tell me real fuel consumption in city???
Stated in the review!
Very nice. Price makes the X5 worth considering.
Just get a Lexus RX 450h
@@Tyrewhisperer Those review poorly in the UK. Sure they are good motors.
@@andrewmarsden1970 true they review them really badly in the UK...we have one but we're getting a Porsche Cayenne or RR Sport next
I am glad they didn't put a giant screen in place of the buttons I like to see. All in on this X3!. Hopefully, the 2022 X3 Plugin becomes available in the US soon.
When will the x5 facelift be released?
Schmusi is recharging. 😀
😎
Great review, Thomas! I cannot choose between the 2022 x3 and the Tesla Model Y performance. I have 2 kids and we travel quite a lot around Europe, all seasons, mountain roads in all weather conditions. Besides obvious EV range considerations, I am of course attracted by the power and the size of the Model Y but I am not sure it is already mature enough to give me peace of mind for travelling in safety and comfort. Any recommendations or considerations? Many thanks!
Why is the Driver Assistance Pro pack becomes unavailable in some markets for the 2022 model?
Maybe also semi conductor shortage?
@@autogefuehl But it's available in other products, such as 3, 5 and all electrified cars.
@@acde9355 not available on 3 series due to chip shortage
We need to know the brand of this cool coat? Please)
Why would you ever need to rotate the head up display? I still really like the X3, it’s a great BMW without being too flashy like the X5
Definitely my next purchase…
Is the X5 getting an update too?
Love love
today we got our brand new bmw x3 g01 facelift in brooklyn grau. the next options are NOT on the car and im so mad at BMW service for this: Harman kardan, the seats adjustments are manual and not electric, the bagage does not have the 2 slides nor the chrome bar.
Im really dissapointed especially cause its an expensive car 65K€. you dont expect these thing on a car like this. Does anyone have any tips for me that i can do?
I don't get it. 65k and no electronic seat adjustment...poor bmw
The facelift version is guaranteed to accelerate depreciation on the non facelift . Lights change . Bumpers change . Tech change . No big deal
Ist der Display-Monitor in der Mitte auch per Touch direkt am Bildschirm bedienbar?
Also da wo das Navi, Radio, Telefon usw. angezeigt wird?
Ja ist es
He always dressed impeccably!
Is this the model with 19 safety recalls?.
Going to order one on my company car scheme early next year but with the 30e - I wish I could order sooner. Currently drive a 530e and the power plant is more than sufficient for this model but I was wondering if the larger X3 shell and the addition of XDrive was going to impact the performance in comparison to my 5 series.
The 5 Series isnt lighter
Collecting my Sao Paulo yellow X3M tomorrow
You’ve just saved my life as I was just about to buy an iX3 for my parents, so thankfully I won’t buy them the old shape now 🙏🏻👍🏻
When will the face-lifted iX3 arrive in the UK and will it still be only available as RWD or have they updated it to choose AWD 🇬🇧🧐
I’m glad you think the BMW 6 cylinder diesel is the best, as that’s the engine I’ve chosen for my Ineos Grenadier 🚙♥️
Not so much changed, will stick to mine pre-facelift 😀
What color is this?
yes, best of bmw considering what the market wants...both x3 and 3er/4gc
Splendid!
With the exception of the tail light, it looks identical lmao
Fake exhaust tips are not "a little bit pathetic". They are "outrageous abominations of absolute patheticism"! Autogefühl police does the fine work of keeping us simple folks alert to these shenanigans.
our bmw x3 facelift with the sensatec seats has the manual adjusts instead of the electric which are supposed to be standard. also we didnt get harman kardon even tho we ordered it. also the bagage has not the chrome accents. im so mad at bmw for this
still a great choice you made. At this moment delivery chain problems
@@autogefuehl yes but a car from 60k should not have manual adjustable seats!!
i went to my local bmw dealer and looked at these a few weeks ago, they didnt have any that were well equipped, i wanted to trade in my 2019 x3 because i wanted the newer idrive aka android auto and they tried to shaft me on my trade in.
Dealers are independently owned. Go to another one
@@mr.c3939
did that, they also did not have anything i liked in stock, not a big
Really cool looking tail lights. Also happy it doesn't have the big nostrils.
