Wow, are you a sniper? You look like an expert when you look at the equipment. It was a very interesting and enjoyable video. Friend, thank you for inviting me to this wonderful place 😄
Pedro, it was very cool to see and watch you on Gritty! Im glad that you got your bear, and that you enjoyed your hunt! Because of watching you on gritty, I’m following you on your channel and love your content and hunts! Keep up the great work! I enjoyed your gear list as well, very cool.
Thanks for sharing Pedro! I’ve been enjoying watching you in the Gritty films! How did the chugach rain gear perform for you in those conditions? Trying to decide between the chugach and the Katana line and having a hard time deciding.
I like the strongfleece more when most of the time I’ll use it as a mid layer on fall and colder hunts, and would choose the peloton when most of the time it would be an outer layer in spring and summer. If that makes sense?
Pedro, thanks for sharing. Did you find the attack pants too warm for the conditions? Did you use permethrin or something similar for tick management? What sleeping pad do you think you should have packed considering the conditions? I am excited for the Gritty Film. I am headed on a Colorado bear hunt this September in Colorado.
Thanks buddy!! It wasn't warm at all, we had snow and freezing temps every night. I didn't use any tick management to be honest I forgot. I would have pick a thermarest but one a bit stronger, the one I used is ultra ultra light but super super thin. Best of luck in Colorado!! That must be fun!!!
Great video! What's your Max pack in weight before getting meat with everything max food and water and how many miles per day could you go with that at full capacity. Vs If your weight was 100 pounds total how many miles a day could you do?
Distance is very difficult to say, as elevation gain is what kills you. Typical hunting days you will be doing something between 9 to 15 miles I would say. Pack weight is something around 80/90 pounds, with meat it exceeds 100, and can get up to 120. We are hunting extended days, but if my pack would be 100 pounds, in flat ground a moving day I think I could do a little over a mile per hour, so around 15 miles? Hope it makes sense.
Very helpful. Can't accoustically understand every model though. A written list of stuff like the name of the backpack, clothes, etc would be awesome. But don't stress yourself. Just a sugestion. Awesome videos. cheers
Buenas tardes Pedro.

How did the chugach rain gear perform for you in those conditions? Trying to decide between the chugach and the Katana line and having a hard time deciding.
It would depend on how rough the terrain is... the kutana is tougher and I feel confident seating on rocks walking around with it...
Pedro, are you liking the strongfleece more than the peloton 240?

Thanks for sharing Pedro, look forward to seeing the hunt.
