@@axisandaliens Since I had the one figure of Peter des Roches, I built it around him. 3 Vet Sgts are part of the command group along with a bannerman, all are on foot, then I have 5 foot sergeants with falchions, 5 regular spear men and 10 crossbowmen in two units of 5, one unit if a green unit. If I like all of this, I'll invest in mounted troops.
I’m just now getting into this game, taking a break from 40K, flames of war, bolt action, and battletech. Thanks for doing this. It helps me learn a bit!
Can’t wait to see what you do! If you’ve not seen them already, I recommend Wrymouth Studio’s videos. It’s a fairly new channel but doing some great stuff with TBW.
Thanks for posting. I haven't decided to buy the rules yet. Anyone who has wargamed can understand the mechanics after watching your video. I have figures I can rebase that will work nicely if I do decide to get the rules.
Nice video. At around 11:30 did the foot knight command move at all? Once they fail their charge they have to roll another D6 to see how far they “stumble” forward but must stop at least 1” away from an enemy. The mailed spearmen just after, looks like a few of those are not within 2” cohesion either, might just be the camera angle though.
@@Edward-Plantagenet thanks for the comment - I really appreciate you watching so closely! I’ve got to admit, it’s been a long time since I played this game so I don’t recall exactly what happened. This is a good example of one of those rules I likely forget in the heat of battle!
Hey! I’m in Danbury. Funny you should ask about shops, I just visited the Tabletop Gaming Center in New Britain for the first time yesterday and loved it! Definitely plan on playing some Bolt Action there.
Thanks for posting game play, I've ordered a 500 pt force and would love to see more "How to play" videos
Thanks, Joe! What kind of force did you buy?

@@joeparvana9549 nice! Thinking of investing in more sergeants myself.
@@axisandaliens I have no idea on how it will work, but that's the fun of it.
I was really impressed with your terrain, it was quite simple but it seemed to give a real flavour of medieval England.
Thanks Simon - the buildings are from Foreground.

Hope it helps give an idea of how the rules flow. It’s a fun game I certainly want to play more of soon.
Thanks that was brilliant! Starting two armies for the specific period too

Great fun and nice looking game, very helpful as an intro to the game. I can’t wait to start getting my stuff on the table!
Thanks MJ! Can’t wait to see what you’ve got!

Excellent battle report! Looks great, except your Crossbows are glued upside down!

Some tutorial videos would be really helpful for these rules!
Nice models but i must admit I hate the round bases
They don’t bother me for skirmish games but if I’m going to rank minis up they’ve got to be on squares - like my latest WotR stuff!
