  • ON THE MOVE! welcome everyone! work has been great, the business has been busy, and I'm finally getting around to some videos again. here we have an informational video on a cap pass. I explain in a much longer, lengthy manner what I am doing. NOW, this weld and pipe is NOT seeing any pressure, material, liquid, or gas inside of it. the weld is simply holding on an end shaft that is machined to slip inside the pipe that has a beveled groove as well. I am filling and conjoining the pieces together by welding a root, fill, hot, and cap pass. the blueprint states for the weld to be flush. that is all. there is no CWI (certified welding instructor) inspecting me. this is more a - get it done nicely, BUT don't spend a crazy amount of time on JOB. in this video, I explain some of the setup, my body positioning, and just informational type of video to help. SO, I hope this helps some of you out! if you have any questions, feel free to comment, like, and subscribe. and I would be happy to keep posting to help us all stay ON THE MOVE! THANK YOU πŸ™ŒπŸ»
