Amtrak ALC-42 Charger leads the westbound Cardinal

- On December 29, 2023, Amtrak’s thrice-weekly Cardinal train makes its scheduled stop in Charlottesville, VA on its way to Chicago. This train is using a brand new Siemens Charger locomotive, and this was my first time seeing one in passenger service.
